Out of Africa and back.
Hi there to all my WA friends, just got back to our home here in Amman, Jordan, M/East from my home country South Africa after a 5-week stint. The great draught there has been broken by the welcome summer rains and South Africa looks like one huge green paradise with dams full and rivers flowing. We saw many wild animals - Elephant, lions, leopard, rino, bufflo, hippo's, giraffe, crocodiles and countless bird species.
We were out of touch with the outside world at times and it is during these times being so close to mother nature that the calling of WA is as strong as ever. The ideas just keep coming with the resultant butterflies in the tummy that seem to get more pronounced as the days pass by. I really needed this break from the normal rush of our modern day routine.
I am happy to say after many hours of soul searching, looking at various options life has to offer, WA comes out tops ..........what with the world experiencing its 4th Industrial revolution, the coming of the digital age. The fact that up to 61% of courses offered at universities today might be obsolete in 15 to 20 years time............then the message is crystal clear, online marketing is the way forward. An opportunity second to none!
Lets do this, stay gold and take care.
Johan.

Hi Johan,
Thanks for sharing this wonderful post. You sound really reenergized. The trip was a good thing for you.

Glad you are back and its better in your homeland. I am anxious to get back to Africa (Ghana) myself, to be with my native wife.
And I also concur, this WA "university" is by far the best I've come across in terms of what all you get for the small amount paid - in terms of money and time.
Yes, I spent a year in Accra, Ghana and found it a very interesting country......I believe there are about fifty thousand South Africans residing at present. We could see that there was a strong SA influence with all the new S/African shops being established there.
I'm sure you are right about the SA influence. Also, of course, the British occupation for several hundred years. I was glad to find out everyone speaks English (along with usually 2 or 3 other native tongues), but it took me the longest time to understand their heavy accents - even took my (now) wife a long time to "hear" each other during our courting, lol.
Really want to get down to South Africa sometime, too. It strikes me as a country with very rich heritage and amazing natural beauty.
Thanks for sharing, what a great story and time you had! Good for you...These kinds of things (vacations) can really recharge the batteries and get you in the right mindset to attain ever higher levels of success when you get back to the business! Best of luck! Dave : )

Nothing like an outing at the Cape to clear the cobwebs Johan. Hope your goals are being met!
That's for sure.
