Hi everyone! So I'm thinking about buying a tablet with wifi capabilities so I can continue to create content in places of down time. I tried using a pen and paper and I find i
I'm the same way with writing content on the tablet. I haven't really tried it though I have one. If I do pick it up it's for casual things and to be honest, more often than not, I end up on a game or something. lol I find the tablet keyboard is a bit removed from the content for me. Maybe I'm old school but I like the feel of the click of the keyboard. However, I have found it handy to check emails notifications and respond to WA social things or to surf through my site to look for edits but I do that with the phone. Maybe there is something too intense about the iPad screen to work intensively with the writing for long periods. But that's my preference, you may be able to use it more productively..
Tablets I do not like... I find the touch screen side of things irritating..
I bough a small laptop ... a HP .. small, compact... but easy to work and easier to type..
Id prefer that to a tablet!
Chris
Does anyone use a tablet to work on content?
Hi everyone! So I'm thinking about buying a tablet with wifi capabilities so I can continue to create content in places of down time. I tried using a pen and paper and I find i
I use a 10.5" iPad Pro with Smart Keypad. With IOS 11 there is better accessibility for files on OneDrive and Dropbox where I have all my optimized graphics stored.
I work on the iPad for 2 months continuously when I'm traveling.
However, when I'm on my computer I do some planning ahead by making ready graphics for upcoming posts. I have apps that are ok for working with images on the iPad, but I still prefer doing it on a computer.
I have ditched my laptop. I now only have a desktop computer at my home office and the iPad

Hey everyone!
So I was checking my google analytics and I noticed an uptick in traffic. I was suspicious because a family emergency has caused me to post a lot less. So
I know that WA has great security and will not dispute that. Prior to coming here I have used Wordfence Security on all of my sites. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordfence/
When I first came to WA I decided (briefly) not to use it, but have since installed it again, as it provides an added layer of protection that is invaluable. I am able to block IP's, bots, attempts at hacks, and a number of other techie things that keep my sites safe. Hope this helps! :-)
I use Wordfence on all my sites outside WA and it has stopped lots of scary stuff. Here, I'm thinking about installing it as well - we will see.
You can deal with them preemptively by having protection I place or correctively through site support, They will always threaten!
The best way to block then is to identify them and deny them via the .htaccess file. But that is not something that you want to do. If you mess up the htaccess file you are done.
You can edit Google Analytics to ignore them from the statistics. Moz has some info on that here: https://moz.com/blog/how-to-stop-spam-bots-from-ruining-your-analytics-referral-data
The bots will always be there. Including the ones that constantly try to log on to your site.
Thank you for the link. I am getting concerned because I don't want my visitors to be redirected to malware or to be a associated with a spammy site. I will look into what I can do! thank you so much.
You can contact Site Support and give them the data of what you have found and they will tell you exactly what it is and if you should worry or not.

Ok, I have adsense. I know how to add it to a widget and how to insert it in a header. But I want to insert it into an individual blog post. How do I do that? Is there a specif
I do not know of a plug in for adding adsense into a certain blog post. Have you tried putting the code in the text part of the blog. You would have to make sure you choose the in-feed add. There is a lot of support for which type of ad at adsense's site.
There are themes that are pre-set to do that. Have you checked on other themes? Like for example, Super Ads Lite.
I think that Adsense requires a full-blown course not just a tutorial. It's on my ToDo List.
No, no ... I meant the Ad Insert plugin ... and you could mention in the title how you use it for ease of inserting Adsense ads.
Hey Sam,
The following tutorial may offer you the help you seek: How to Add Adsense HTML Code to WordPress Website Hope this helps you.
Thanks, I've done this tutorial, but it adds it to the header not to the individual post within the blog. thanks though

What is your reason for being at WA? I have so many!
1: I can be at home with my kids!
2: No more boss!
3: no more mandatory overtime!
4: No stress headaches from
-I trust WA and know it's the best out there.
-Nobody is going to tell me if and when I can spend time with my kids (hate being employed).
-The same reason I turned to homesteading and self-sufficiency: I like my gain to be from my direct efforts.
Great question! I joined WA because my website was suffering from my lack of expertise to make it better and there are very few out there who will show you how to optimize your page or anything else for that matter. So, WA is VERY informative for all the information that I need for working on my website, but even MORE valuable is the community of people at WA!! The people here are AWESOME and exceptionally helpful.
I hope you are becoming ever more successful with your venture.
Peace,
William
You mentioned almost everything that most people would mention as well. But me personally I want to succeed where others including myself failed.
I want to be able to say and show that this process works to every single person that tries to reach me. I want to help others achieve their dreams and believe in themselves.
More time with my loves ones, time to go explore the world. Be able to make of this learning experience a career and leave behind the regular 9 to 5 job.
What is your why? whats your reason for joining wa?
