Hey guys, just wondering would it be good if I have like 3-4-5 articles on just one keyword or phrase?
For example "Walt Disney" is the keyword and I have articles: "Walt Di

It's fine as long as the keyword "idea" is different.

If you write a post called "Walt Disney movies" and "Walt Disney characters", then your keyword is not "walt disney". You have two different keywords.

Even if you use "Walt Disney movies" two times, but call the posts

"Walt Disney movies your children shouldn't watch"
and
"Walt Disney movies that every girl wants to see"

They are differnet topics. Your keyword is not longer "Walt Disney movies". Now you have

"Walt Disney movies children shouldn't watch"
and
"Walt Disney movies for girls" (or something similar).

Even though the core of the word is the same, the TOPIC and MEANING of the post is different and will rank differently.

Hey Nath,
Thanks for the answer.
However my main keyword is the same:. Ex: "Tommy Hilfiger coat". However the topics I'm going to incorporate this keyword is different.
1. Navy blue Tommy Hilfiger coat
2. Grey plaid Tommy Hilfiger coat
3. Windowpane Tommy Hilfiger coat

As you see they are different topics and products - however the key phrase that ranks good is only "Tommy Hilfiger coat".

Would that be good or bad for my rankings?

Can you really write a 1000 word article on each of those? I'm sure the keyword fits into the numbers, but it doesn't make sense to write separate posts for that. I doubt you would be able to rank above ecommerce sites.

You'd be better off doing one post like "Which color of Tommy Hilfiger Coat will suit you best", and you can discuss color schemes, dressing styles, etc, then mention each of the coat colors within the article.

It's not ideal, but I think writing separate posts for each of those is a waste. It's not helping anyone...unless I"m misunderstanding what the full idea of the article is.

I see your point brother! Thanks and yes I can write down a 1000 word article on each of those

I am no expert, but I think would be fine. Just using one key word, with the modifiers you are adding causes your page to complete. I this case each phrase will be part of a different search despite the same keyword. Why not set up each phrase as a keyword?

thanks for the input Drjec!
Each phrase as a keyword does not appear to be a good option according to WA keyword tool - too low search volume.

Check in Keyword Tool if these are proper different keywords. If so, use them. I have 50 backpacks with the name Osprey in it, or Kelty, etc., those are all different items.

thanks mate.
They are all different items but the keyword I will be using is the same

Then forget it. See here why

thank you :)

I was thinking of making a lot more reviews than I currently do. For example to have almost all of my articles as reviews and every now and then to have another

Thinking of doing more reviews myself. At some point u gotta think about where thw money is gonna come in from

I find that doing more reviews is a great way to get more sales! I go through phases of doing lots of reviews then lots of info articles. Try it and see if it can help you boost sales $$$

Go ahead. it's your website. do what you like.google dun rank you on what you type in. they rank you on the content.
Feel free to write what you want but with moderation. hahaha

Cheers,
Eugene

Hey guys,

I think it's about time I installed some social plug ins. What are your favourites?

I use Tweet, like,Google +1, and share plugin Samoel.
Jerome

I use Sumo .. Cheers, William.

thanks Will!

I use Ultimate Social Media Plus and it works well. Simple to use and set up.

Thank you brother!

Sumo's Share and Social Warfare.

Good morning, Samoel. I personally like Cresta Social Share Counter (CSSC). It's free and it allows you to customize which networks your stuff get's shared to, (plus it has a print button.) It also counts your number of shares as well on each specific page/post.

As far as people linking to my social networks directly I'm upgrading my theme to the pro version today and it includes that feature natively. Others might have better options to link to your social media profiles.

Hope this get's you started. All the best.

Chad

Thank you very much for the input Chad! Much appreciated! :)

Hey guys,

I have recently installed Analytics and wanted to ask you if you know how many monthly visits you should have os that amazon can accept your associates applicat

I wait until I have 10 blog posts before applying to any affiliate programs for a website. And I also make sure to have an affiliate disclaimer up before applying. I was accepted into Amazon and a few others with low traffic, but it wasn't zero. I can't exactly remember, but I was probably getting somewhere between 30-50 hits a day.

Thanks Kiersten. 30-50 hits a day you mean visits or page hits?

Oops! I wrote that too quickly. 30-50 unique visitors per day

thank you Kiersten. I still have lot less than that - haha :)

It shouldn't take long. I was approved a day after I applied for the program.
Jerome

I do not think Amazon are that fussy I was accepted by then ar the very start of my blog with very low traffic.

Thanks Walkes. I'm asking because they rejected me with that reason. Do you have an ebay account?

I have an eBay account yes. Strange that I got accepted but not you?

Nope - got reject from ebay and amazon the just didn't reply.

Hey guys, in Jay's training on keywords the other day he said that he recommends that if we have 4 or 5 affiliate links in one post - it would be batter to reduce it to 1 link.

some of my posts only have one link and some are information pages so there are none, if you were to do reviews you only need the one and it does work

Thanks Katie! :)

I'd suggest going with less number of links when you start. As you win Google's trust and get a steady stream of traffic, you could brush your shoulders with Jay.

Thanks Gautam!

I have also watched training on WA that said having too many links upsets Google so I agree with you and I tend to keep affiliate links to a n optimum. I also do not have links on every post so that my followers do not think that all I want to do is sell to them. If I write a product review then I have more links but that is expected. I also do not share every post for the same reason that I do not to upset my followers.

Yes - I think it is a good strategy :)
maybe I have links on like 50 % of my posts. Let's see how it works out :)
Thank you Walkes2 my man :)

I know there is training by Kyle where he puts 4 or 5 links of the same product in his content. He advises not to put anymore than 4 or 5. I do not know about only 1? We are actually following Kyle's suggestion of 4 or 5 links per article. I think this is going to be a personal reference. Good Luck!

Thanks BetterDays2C,

I think that Kyle's suggestion was on product review pages not an ordinary blog page. Or I'm I wrong?
