Oh dear!

It seems that Google has disabled the request indexing tool. Does this just mean that we have to trust Google to find and index our new pages?
The disabled message isn't just for me I hope, lol!
Have you also found that you can't request indexing on Google Search Console? Is there anything else you do to tell Google you've published a post?

Yes, now we have to be patient, at least for a little while! At least from what I can tell!

Hi Soraya, this is site wide. I used to submit my URL's in google's inspection tool, but I see it has been disabled. I just hope they do daily crawls via my sitemap. I have been waiting for 7 articles to get indexed.
I also read some where that the URL inspection will be only used for mobile submissions around March 2021.

Hi Michael,
Wow, that's a long time away! I'm a bit surprised by this action by Google - stopping it with no real info available. I don't know why, but I would have thought Google would make their new plans while leaving the old one trundling along. Just have to hope, as you say, that the sitemap does the job!
Thanks, Soraya :)
Hi Soraya, as far as this current situation with google, they say there will be an update within this month.
The other notice was they were going to phase out the URL submission for the desktops, and only have it for mobile devices. That change is not until March of next year.
From what I am reading there are members getting their posts indexed. Not too much we can do:)
Michael
Hi Michael,
Thank you, I didn't realise they were getting rid of URL submissions for desktops. But good to know that posts are still getting indexed. :)
