Need Help On Shotcut
Hello Wealthy Family,
I just finished editing my video and was trying to export the file and the "Export" button does not seem to be doing anything. The shortcut does not give the option for file format or where to export the file to. I have not updated my free version to the new version that came out May 2021. Could that be the problem? Every time I open the program it gives me a notice where to click to get the new Shotcut version. But when I click the "download", it is telling me to change my browser to "Chromium." My gut is telling me not to follow the instruction as I don't want anything to get messed up by changing to a browser I am not familiar with or have no knowledge about.
If you are using the new free version of shortcut, could you tell me what I need to do? Also, I try to add text on the video I just finished and the shortcut is not giving me that option anymore. If I remember right, I was getting that option before when I recorded my first and 2nd videos. Should I get the premium version?

I found out what was wrong that was not clearly visible last night. I was deciding to write a comment on one of the shotcut tutorials, While I was checking what version of shotcut I am using . . . for some reason a bit of the menu frame I needed appeared behind the playlist frame! I dragged it out and the playlist frame went away!
I thanked the Lord for helping me think of a resolution and the answer presented itself. I clicked “Export” a few times before and never saw that bit of a menu I needed behind the playlist. Possibly, I kept looking on the far left where it is supposed to appear and never noticed a bit of it was showing to the right of the playlist.
I thought I’d share that experience if any of you is just learning shotcut like myself.
