Level 5 Badge Finally Done!
Hello and warm greetings to the WAers,
I just completed the Level 5 Training and it feels good that I am done with it. It took me many months to finish this training as the articles that I have to put together were not easy. They were articles that needed to be written with great care and making sure statements are accurate that it wll make it easy for the readers to make a decision and take action. I also have practiced to limit my sub headings to 5.
Use of Block Editor
It was really nice to learn the Block Editor from one of the live Webinars by Jay. I used that feature of WP for the blog articles for lesson 9 and 10. Block Editor made it easy to lay out the posts. I also did two extra posts using the Block Editor. Now I have to work on converting my early posts to Block Editor. I will be busy doing that when taking a break from my other activities. There are also other programs I need to learn how to use to improve the look of my website.
Amazon Dropped Me Again
This week, Amazon notified me that I can no longer use their links as I have only made one (1) major sale. As they always say . . . I have to have 3 major sales in order to remain on their affiliate program. Well I guess they can keep the commission fee and more power to them! The commission was for 0.43 cents from a $42.00 purchase. I could not believe that!
On a positive note, I am so thankful that I joined Code Age affiliate program and I earned $32.06 commission fee from the month of September and October. The commission is 10%. The company sells supplements. I wish they have all of the supplements in the world but they don't. I have signed up with ShareASale and finished watching this week the videos on how to create links with their merchants.
So there you have it! I know I rarely blog within Wealthy Affiliate platform but that's because my hands are full with other things that need to be done. Also, I had been working on improving my website so that it will really work for me in the near future.

Very well done, Evelyn! Amazon pays a pittance, and I have never joined them after reading many posts in the past, and will likely not ever do so, unless they make radical changes. I could make more money saving aluminum cans, IMHO! Good on you for getting into better affiliate programs!

You were very smart not joining Amazon. I joined them because it was so easy to get links. But the commission is not worth the time I spent.

Congrats on completing your training! That's quite an achievement and one you should celebrate.
Yeah, dump Amazon! They have the lowest commission rates and shortest cookies, and frankly they treat their affiliates just horribly! There are so many other choices available, and literally every one will be far better than Amazon.
