Today is my graduation day from the WA Ambassador school! Yay!

Contrary to the belief that it's not important to be a WA ambassador, for me, it was VERY important for so many reasons.

I believe, for me, to fully know or experience something especially one that we promote, we have to experience it all round. To walk all the steps and know how it is at every stage. WA's last listed step is ambassadorship. I needed to walk that walk and I consciously did that. It wasn't a case of, 'oh I don't know how it happened, it just happened.' I am glad I did it. It was worth every effort. It changed me in so many ways too.

  • I learned to work hard at something everyday. When you are not active enough in the community everyday the rank drops and so to keep it you have to put in activity everyday. For me this is extremely valuable training. I took active activity everyday for 3 months. It developed a habit for me. Now I have 2 websites and five social media activities. With this ambassador training, the habit I developed has started to pay off. When you are not accountable to anything it's easy to wake up one morning and choose to do nothing. I used my ambassador role to train myself to do something everyday.
  • I learned to dedicate myself to helping others everyday. This helped me to know much more about WA. I went in one area and was pushed off, then tried another and again was pushed off but in all these experiences I gained an insight into me and into other things. Things I would have never known if I hadn't become ambassador.

  • I have learned about human behavior. Being at the top brings challenges from other members, even for a voluntary position. I got attacked for it. That was shocking! Some people will fight dirty and accuse you just because you moved into ambassadorship! It's weird but I believe this comes with the territory and I am sure it's the same out there in the world. Really good training if you ask me. Thank YOU for making me stronger.
  • I Learned to handle difficult situations with dignity
  • It really is part of the training. There are lessons to be learned and it changed me in ways I would have never managed had I not become an ambassador.

.

  • I learned about what area of WA I enjoy participating in that has value to me such that even now having dropped off from ambassadorship, I will still come here and do it and feel really good about it.

If I become ambassador again, there will be no intention there, it will be different. It will be because of a natural cycle of helping others and probably just enjoying sharing stuff or just enjoying writing. It truly won't matter too if I stay one or not.

Thanks to everyone, EVERYONE, who contributed to my learning experience. I am thanking you, yes YOU who gave me a tough time too. It was a huge positive in my life and in business and will help me to earn money and keep to my resolve even in the face of adversity.

It's not about what happens, what happens, happens to everybody. It's about setting sail and focusing on our goals no matter what happens. Everything is all part of the dynamics of the business environment. Being an ambassador is there for a reason and I believe a good reason too.

Do not let anyone discourage you from aiming for ambassadorship, there are lessons there to be learned. If it's your thing, go for it! You will, in time, learn how to balance your time and deal with issues. EVERYONE who is an ambassador spends time at WA that they could be using on their website so the talk of discouraging others is nonsense especially coming from ambassadors! It's just fighting dirty to keep competition to a minimum. Perhaps they are not confident enough to maintain their position if more people fight for the rank! How do you say being an ambassador is not important when you ARE one? Is it not cutting your nose to spite your face unless deep down you have a hidden agenda to keep ambassadorship and have competition to a minimum?

We are all adults and we pay money to be here. If I waste it by spending it helping people at WA and keeping my ambassadorship so be it. Who knows whose life purpose is what? Maybe that is what I am on earth for. Why do some like playing the almighty over others? IS IT REALLY THEIR PLACE????!!!

My belief is that as long as members are genuine, without malice, in whatever they are doing, even if it's just writing a blog, it's a good thing and a learning curve.

I love this place and this community and I always will.

May the winds of success always blow your way.

I have a confession WA community,,, for it was me who was "fighting dirty," to be honest, I didn't want Danielle to become an ambassador. In fact, I don't want anybody to become an ambassador, because I want to be the ONLY ambassador there is. King Ambassador and Kyle is my second... Moo ha ha ha.

Lol jk yall... I wasn't even here at the time. And Danielle's a sweetheart I wouldn't do that...or would I (smiles evil)

Great post Danielle and I am sure you will be an ambassador again, especially if you like helping members here within the community and paying it forward.

I remember when I first started here and was climbing quickly through the ranks. This was mainly a result of my love to help others to experience success in whatever way possible.

I believe if others can achieve it than I can too. In turn I also believe that if I experience it, others can too and I will help them get there if and when I can.

But there were a couple of high ranking members here at that time, I do not think they are active here anymore, that were against my rise in the ranks. So how did I react to that negativity?

I kept being a helpful person. But because my helpful character was attacked, I devoted a LOT of time here helping everyone I could and I attained a rank of 3 for almost an entire year.

After that those naysayers disappeared into the WA wilderness. Then I started focusing more on my websites and gaining referrals. This meant less time helping people here so my rank fell.

Did I care? No. Making money was more important. I was still helpful in the community through my earlier tutorials. Then after Kyle complimented me on the quality of those trainings, I created more.

But eventually I had some really bad personal family problems and had to stop being active within the community. I even had to put a slight pause on my websites. This made me drop below rank 25.

I was no longer an ambassador and even had many members here asking me what happened and were shocked. But again it did not bother me because I knew that once I got back to actively helping, I would be back.

Then WA changed their ranking algorithm to be more focused on members who are truly helpful in the community, providing quality content that ads value to the training. My rank shot back up to 15.

I now fluctuate between 6 and 10. Do I want to be a rank of 3 again? Absolutely NOT! Why? It brings too much attention and members sending me PMs for help and reviews of their websites.

Even though I still enjoy helping others and being active when I can, which contributes to rank, I have to concentrate my efforts on my websites and my many referrals first and foremost.

Long story short, you Danielle took the correct approach in becoming an ambassador. It is something I too believe that everyone should try to achieve, even if it is just for a week.

And even though you slipped down to 26, you will STILL be an ambassador to those who you have and will continue to help. Like I said at the beginning of this looong comment, I am sure you will be an ambassador again.

I was about to send a response then saw Roberts. He said it all. I was at 15 for a while and if I get there again fine, if I don't fine. I do what I'm lead to do and am content for the most part.

I see you're at 18 again. LOL

Success has many meanings. Only your own meaning counts.

My hands are tied at the moment, many things happening at the same time. I will still help when I can.

I found your comment interesting and thank you again for taking the time.

Hi Debbi

I like your attitude and I am the same. First time around I did it with focused purpose to be ambassador but now if I get there it's fine and if I don't it's also fine. Being content is the most important thing. Only one's meaning counts.

Thank you for taking the time Debbi. I really appreciate it.

Hey Rob, like Danielle, u helped me with a conundrum before and for that u got my complete respect. A very helpful Ambassador indeed=). Which is the point of being an ambassador right? Being helpful. Those high ranking members at the time "who were against" your rise in the ranks, WEREN'T being very helpful were they,,, hateing on you like that. Tisk, tisk. They were being UNHELPFUL ambassadors haha, therefore, they lost their ambassadorship and are now somewhere lost in the WA wilderness,,, squatting and scavenging like the rest of us common folk. :p

Aah, Danielle... as always, you have an interesting take and have shared astute insights into a program that is shroud in mystery for those of us who have not yet attained Ambassador status.

I have read a number of surprising posts recently alluding to backbiting and fierce competition in the Ambassador ranks and I have to say, its made me hesitant about actively pursuing that goal. And yes, of course am constantly weighing up the time on website vs time at WA balance. That is a major consideration as well.

Appreciate you telling it like it is, the good, the bad & the ugly.

No matter the community, Lauren, there will always be those who may oppose, whether for noble or seedy reasons. All you can do is press on....

It took me 8-9 months to reach the level of Ambassador, so I can assure you, I wasn't spending 10+ hour days on this platform. Even though I work less than 20 hours a week with 2 different part-time jobs, I have a life! I was actually shocked at how long I was able to maintain that status considering I did so very little.

In any event, whatever your goals, Lauren, go for it!

Don't hesitate Lauren, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger! You know what you want and no one has a right to tell you what is right for you. If ambassadorship is what you want to experience then go for it.

Thank you for taking the time to pass by. Have a great week.

Hey there, Danielle...

The Ambassador thing is something set up to provide some recognition for those people that are going the extra mile here, within the WA platform...

Some people handle the title differently, but it is just that, a title. It is what you do as a member day in and day out that is the real power that one has, over rank or title...

From what I have seen, you have been an integral part of the community, and have helped a lot of people. That likely will not change, because that is who you are...

Reference the back-biting you mention, there are some members whose personalities mean they approach their position, rank, or membership in their unique manner...

That results in some raw nerves at times for sure. I have witnessed and confronted this when I have seen it and will say that in any organization or groups, you will run into this...

The beauty of this place is that you can choose who to listen to and who to ignore or not listen to. There are quite a few very smart people here, and enough that you normally can have a good stable to follow/learn from...

The ones that who are too hard to deal with you can avoid/not react to. It sounds like you may have run into some of that. You are right, an opportunity to grow, hehe...

In any case, likely you will be back in the Ambassador program, as the ranking goes up and down, and as you say, you will continue to contribute, as this is who you are...

Cheers!

Good afternoon Danielle,

That it is a lot of work to be an Ambassador was clear to me from the beginning. Reading your good post what has upset me are your words " some people fight dirty and you were attacked for being an Ambassador ?" I could hardly believe it and I wonder why people will spend their energy in such a negative way, better use your energy for your website building.

Hi Taetske

I think attacking others comes from a lot of insecurity. Maybe those people think they appear stronger when they are being that way but it actually achieves the opposite. As a community we just need to stay positive and help each other including those that don't play nice if they should ever need help. It's a process.

Thank you for taking the time. Have a great week.

Bravo, Danielle Bravo!

The thing that I keep coming back to is the fact that there IS an Ambassador level. It's there not because of some fluke or glitch in the system, but because Kyle and Carson created it, just like they created the Top 50, Top 100, Top 200.

For some, reaching the level of Ambassador, or any ranking is not that important. But who am I to look down on or ridicule someone who wants to achieve that status! This could be the first time someone has ever had a chance to achieve something great for themselves; imagine their spirit being crushed when someone says that it's "silly" or "not important".

I was Ambassador for 77 days...and I loved it! The fact that I reached it when I really didn't think that was possible - really - was amazing! And yes, what a valuable lesson I learned in that process: That I can achieve so much more than I thought possible!

I believe that any accomplishment that doesn't harm anyone else, is worthy of celebration! You wore your Ambassador badge with dignity and grace, Danielle.

So, I'll celebrate with you, Danielle! We'll have a V.I.P. "
Not Ambassador Anymore" Party...right on the yacht!!!

I am nearing to that stage, lol. You know when I ranked 29 I feel I am not ready for it so I decided to slow down and then follows by the system's avalanche and most everybody went down.

But this time I want to be an Ambassador of and for my country, hahaha. There is one thing I would like to ask for if it can be, that the Free Membership be opened to the Philippines.

Congratulations for being there.

I didn't feel ready or deserving, Jimmy. I've been on this platform a year now, and I often feel as if as if I should know so much more than I do, but it's a process that I have to accept.

It was an incredible feeling to have reached that level, knowing that instead of "gaming the system" that I wrote from the heart and had a genuine interest in helping others. I say if you want Ambassador...go for it!

Lovely words! I think even when we come from a place of great intentions there will always be those that feel threatened and their way of coping with their own fears is to try and instil fears in you about your credibility or worth. Maybe we need to understand that the 'haters' are really just voicing their insecurities and it has nothing to do with us personally.
How wonderful that you would set aside time out of your schedule to be the sounding board or to use your winds analogy the rudder that helps the Newbies set their sails to catch the winds of success when they do favour us. May your sails always be filled with the kind winds of prosperity and knowledge.

Take good care of yourself and stay blessed

I would like to say thanks for your time and effort. I know that you took this position seriously. It was always evident that you put thought and time into being an ambassador. Being helpful and caring. Your posts have always helped and motivated me.

I am sorry to hear that it wasn't always a pleasant experience. It is sad, but my experience has shown me, that in any group, there are those that need to feel they are superior.

By taking the high road, as you did. You proved that you are the better. Keep taking the high road and never let those that want to bring you down win.

I have long the ranking slip from 60+ to now 170. While it is noble to paying forward, I have to pay myself first. Too many members have been paying forward to the extent that they do not have any more financial resources to continue and I do not want to be one either.

Being an Ambassador must be extremely gratifying but at the same time, I can imagine the excess baggage that comes along with it by way of more responsibility and less time for one's own websites because of all the activities here in WA. I'm not surprised at the supposedly "dirty" attacks from some members because WA is composed of humans and not angels alone. Sarcasm, taunts, mild verbal attacks are all in the offing. One has to be wary of the "reactions" and the seeming anonymity of the internet makes everything vicious all the more. But it must be a good experience being an Ambassador. And it's all that matters, I think. You are one of us now! Cheers!!
