Social Media Promotion
As I move forward to promote my ideas and site I find the myriad of social media options a little overwhelming. I monitor and contribute daily to google+, twitter, FB, Pinterest and quora. I have also just signed up for wikihow and yahoo answers. What social media products do others use in the WA community?

This may help and lesson your confusion : )
Like you I have numerous SM accounts, but don't use them all otherwise you end up confused and dazed, and switching off
Because WA is a business, treat it like a business and choose your SM networks accordingly, that way you have more focus on what you are doing
EG: I use Linkedin & YouTube mainly
Linkedin is specifically a business network and very good for people buying
YouTube is a very large, traffic generation site, come video blogging community, where you can engage and get leads from
Thats my own take and what I do, on a daily basis, which I find works very well
Don't forget as well, that your main focus is building your own subscriber list, so having too many SM channels, can end up being a distraction
Hope this helps
Thanks for the advice. Can you tell me more about Linkedin and building a subscriber list? My strategy has been to build follows primarily in google+ and twitter. I am not finding or getting the purpose of Pinterest. Quora is actually bringing new users to my site according to google analytics and I am receiving more questions within my niche each day. I am just starting to explore yahoo answers. My strategy with Quora and Yahoo answers is to build authority within my niche. Any info/suggestions would be much appreciated.
Linkedin, is specifically a business network, which has over 500,000 users, all of who are interested in one thing
Business, and earning through recommended products or services.
I don't touch Yahoo answers at all, and REACT only when QUORA sends me a question in my niche
The reason for both of these is very simple. Your only purpose when marketing online is to build your own list of subscribers
Now admittedly followers is all very well and good, but most are just after free information without wishing to spend money to acquire it
In your shoes, I would focus on providing, the sizzle not the steak on your website, with the sole intention of driving people to my list, I am sure your content is more than able to do that
Pinterest, is just about getting followers, but nor business and so I binned that strategy a while ago
Being that we are in the Direct Response Marketing niche, primarily because of the fact that we promote online, through our blog, I use safelists, traffic exchanges and YouTube, to build my list
Doing this keeps my focus on the work & build up your bank account
Hope that helps

Be sure you don't "social" yourself away from real work Stacy!
Thanks for the advice. I am trying to partition an hour or two a day for social media. According to google analytics on the days I spend more time on social media I bring a lot more users to my site. The balancing act between creativity and research can be a challenge.
