It’s activated but when I try to connect with WP I get a cant connect ERROR message something about no SSL. Is Jet pack a theme specific plug in becuSe I may have needed
Jetpack is blacklisted here at WA as it calls out to a 3rd party server so, you won't be able to connect if your site is hosted here.
Also, in the past, many people have had issues with it messing up and slowing down their sites.
If you do some searches in the top search bar for Jetpack or Jetpack issues, there are many discussions pertaining to this topic.
Do I need the jet pack plug in? I cant connect wwordpress.

oh ok, it just keeps popping up when I down load themes so I assume I need it. I'd rather not learn another plug in any way. Thanks

Hi guys and Help!
I’ve written and published my first post but before I write and publish a few related product reviews and hopefully begin to monetize them I hav
One of the main problems is that I can't see your content within the first fold of the page. I don't know if this is just how your theme works, but it is not the best design when it comes to Google.
See my screenshot, you want the "meat" of your content to be much higher up the page and also, your headline is repeated twice within your content as well. This is not good for rankings in Google either.
On the bright side and something that you should be excited about is the fact that you are ranked #2 in Yahoo, #5 overall in Bing under your target keywords. So you have Yahoo/Bing Love, which is absolutely a good sign (see screenshot).
So you are heading in the right direction, I would try to fix those design issues as that could be holding back your rankings in Google.
Wow Thanks Kyle this info makes me feel much better. First let me say I really enjoy it hear at WA you and all your members are very supportive and helpful. Nice to know I'm ranked on Bing and Yahoo. As far as the design issues, that’s the kind of stuff I need to know. I'd hate to work so hard to get ranked then get held back by minor design issues.
I’ll get on that design issue but here’s a few Questions on your:
You mentioned that the "title is repeated twice within my content", do you mean the title in the header and the title in my post? Until I can figure out the theme I can easily just not include the title on my post and keep it in the perma-link. Will that work?
Or did you mean that I mentioned my key words in the "highest quality dry dog food" too many times? It’s in my title and in my 1st and 5th paragraph, but it is included naturally in my content. I can easily change that.
And before I monetize:
Should I tie in the key words form this post into my product reviews? or will links form this post to the review posts suffice? I reviewed your product review tutorial and I don't recall you mentioning key word connection with the original post so I thought I would ask.
Lastly, while I have you I could use a little training guidance. The WA certification courses are extremely helpful but I don't seem to be getting a full understanding of some of the hurdles to getting ranked on google. I'd like to become an expert and make affiliate marketing my new career so if you can suggest a learning path in addition to the certification program laid out on WA I would great appreciate it. Are there additional learning resources you could suggested both inside WA and outside?
Thanks again for your time.

When I type in the key words I used which were ‘highest quality dry dog food’ I can’t find post, it does not rank. Here’s the post
Here are a few things to consider.
Your keyword is excellent, I see people give advices about QSR without checking your keyword. So QSR is 18, and this is great.
After publishing, did you use Fetch? If not this is a mistake because it would speed up the procedure.
Your post is indexed and ranked, number 1 with quotes. But it is nowhere without quotes, this can be normal. After initial indexing and ranking, it can drop far and vanish but it may resurface again. This is why you need to Fetch it, this will make all faster. So the present situation can change in time.
I miss some pictures in your text, some colors, some video, some bold words, some itemized lists, etc.
It is too simple, pale letters on white canvas (no offense). The letters are small for me; but these are not SEO factors.
Hello. I like your response to the question on ranking. Can you elaborate on what Fetch is? and what quotes are or how you use them? I am following you now and you can send me a private message if you prefer. Thank you in advance.
See how Fetch works, the screenshot there will show you where it is: Get indexed and ranked in Google in 8 seconds Do not use quotes to check ranking because this is not a true ranking. I mentioned this to him only to realize that his post is indexed and ranked, this was an easy way to find it in Google.
How to check ranking correctly see here: How to check your page ranking in google
Great input and definitely no offense taken. Each post has been ‘Fetched’ for both for desktop and mobile. I will look into increasing the size of the text your not the first to mention it.
I’m curious do the google bots look for vivid pics, colors, videos and bold words or does that increase rankings because it’s catchier for visitors? More pictures are in the works and I’ll see what I can do about adding some bold words, colors and videos.
I like being #1 but what does search ‘with quotes’ mean?
Also in the GSC, in Search Analitics when I check Queries Is the list at the bottom a list of what GSC considers the top 5 key words from my post? If so then I wonder if I should be concerned because my exact key words aren’t included in the list. Listed at #1 is ‘best dry dog foods’ my key word is ‘highest quality dry dog food’.
Thanks
OK if you used Fetch this means it has passed the temporary ranking and dropped far below. I would not be concerned yet, the post is rather new and this drop in ranking is normal. It can easily reappear again.
Search with quotes means QSR, when I use your targeted keyword under quotes I do search for the exact phrase, and you are number 1. So this is already excellent, but true ranking is without quotes because this is how people normally search.
You are ranked even for keywords which are not your targeted keywords, this is good and this is also normal, explained in lessons.
As for colors and other stuff, no those are not ranking factors, at least not directly. But if visitors are happy with your layout and the shape of the post, they may stay .longer on the post and even go to other posts, and then this becomes ranking factor.
It takes time to get rank, especially for the first time.
1. Choose low competition keywords. QSR < 100 and search > 100
2. Jay's training to get rank.
3. Updated Steps to Take After Publishing a Post
This is good. I will take a page out of you book. Congrats on getting top 200. I am going to follow you. Best wishes...much success!
This is really good clears so much up. It really should be included in the initial certification courses.
Thank you
It takes some time to get ranked.
Just keep building posts and interlink those posts where you can. If it is just a single page, it makes it difficult to rank because the search engines think the site is not serious.
Just keep the faith and keep plugging away. I even have some posts that I made over a year ago, that suddenly started to rank and bring in tons of traffic.

Oh ok I wasn’t sure how long it takes to get ranked it clear in the tutorials. I know it must be variable depending on the niche and the person working on it but they should include some sort of approximate time frame in the tutorials. It would help in benchmarking especially for those of us planning on building and maintaining multiple sites.
Thanks for you help
I found that sometimes it takes a couple of days to get ranked on google. I waited and it finally happened.
Hi Sol. I just saw your question. I am attaching the video that Kyle made on this subject. He walks you through the process. Give it a try, but if you still are having problems, let me know. How to Get Keywords Ranked With Low Hanging Fruit
Hi GK, actually this is the video I used as a guide so I believe I followed it correctly. Most of the actions that I mentioned in my question I learned by watching this video.
The key word I used had a QSR of 19, 80 Searches and 14 Traffic which I believe meet the ‘low hanging fruit’ key word qualifiers.
I’ll view the video again and review my work maybe I did something wrong or missed something but I believe I was pretty thorough. What else can I do? Are there any other tutorial’s, maybe something more advanced?
Here’s a question going forward as I create and post new posts, will I be creating some of them with entirely reinforcing these same or similar key words or will all my new posts include entirely new key words within my niche?
Thanks
