I have deleted my lisa@harstineislandart.com and tried to do it over to connect it to my web page www.harstineislandart.com, but every time I try, it is on www.beginninghiking1

Have you cleared your cache to see the changes?

You asked this question before.

You may need to empty the browser cache, refresh and try again. Try URL in a different browser or mobile device.

You can also empty servers cache.

I am creating an affiliate discloser page in site content, but I wanted to make sure that it was a page and not a post.

Yes, it’s a page.

Yes, but you must make it navigable by including a menu link to it. I always put mine in the Footer menu. Some affiliates, including Amazon, also required you to put a small affiliate disclosure message near your affiliate link, wherever it appears.

Yes.

It should be clearly visible in the primary menu. Disclosure is typically a page.

You also need a shorter disclosure as close as possible to the first affiliate link in a post, either above or below the link.

For Amazon, it has to say "as an Amazon Associate I may earn from qualified purchases" and this has to be directly above your first Amazon link in post.

Thanks

Most welcome!

Hi TheAbie.
Great advice given 😃

Most welcome :)

I must have messed up because when I click on my lisa@harstineislandart.com email, it takes me to my lisa@beginninghiking101.com email. Can you help me fix this?

You need delete and redo again correctly.

Websites top menu > Site manager > Site Email
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/email

I tried that but every time i do, it goes to lisa@beginninghiking101.com

I would suggest reaching out to site support

I keep trying to find affiliate merchants, but I keep getting denied. What can I do to get accepted?

Hi - I took a look at your website which you have mentioned elsewhere, and you only have 6 posts.

I know the training tells you to apply, but it's too early, as you don't have enough content to attract traffic.

Perhaps write another 15 posts, then try again.

There is no "trick". You build up a website, get visitors to it, and you will be able to (easily) sign up to affiliate networks. They want to see good websites that are potential assets for them to work with.

You will also have other affiliate programs emailing you with invitations to join them as well. It all starts with building the business and putting in the work.

Build an audience first

A lot of affiliate merchants won't accept until they see you are committed to writing content like having 20-30 posts that are well written on your website.

Remember you don't have to be an expert at writing you just need to communicate. Focus on communicating with the audience you are targeting then focus on applying to affiliate merchants.

People have different ways of doing things and achieving things. This way worked for me. You can see if it works for you.

Wish you the best
Emily

Hi-I would concentrate on writing more content.

All you need is a good website that receives good traffic so that affiliate merchants can see how consistent your website is and if it is of any help to the readers.

I would suggest to keep writing lots and lots of content before you apply to any affiliate companies as it can be disheartening when they refuse you.

Once you have an established website then there are many out there that you can choose from.

No trick you need content and TRAFFIC before you can apply as programs would check those elements prior approval.

Is that my webpage name? My name?

Usually if you recognize it applies to you however if you do not do ads, it is mainly organic via SEO.

Thanks Abie!

If they are asking where your traffic will be coming from, tell them organic traffic from SEO, PPC ads and email campaigns.

Thank you!

You're most welcome.
