I been doing a lot of information ingesting and a bit of article writing. My conclusion: I need to turn it around. Never substitute action for learning. Do them both simultaneously and if you cant, do more action. Most of the time, a bit of new information acquired in ten min or less is clearly all u need. The real learning comes in taking action doesn't it? (wow, i think this is my first ever blog)

I think you've spotted a major flaw in modern education. Very often children are taught to memorize and regurgitate information, rather than being given the mental tools they need to succeed, like the capacity for critical thinking.
