Wondering if it's more beneficial to create a business facebook page for my online business, then invite people to join the group, and post there. Or is it better to just post things on my regular social Facebook page? Open to suggestions.

Yes you should Dani, and share every new posts you write on your website.

Christina, I would refer back to Kyle's training on creating an engaging Facebook or social media post. Gives good tips on what a Firestarter is. See below.

I was wondering this myself! The only downside is that I have a lot of friends (and some "friends") and I doubt that that many people will like my business page. How do you get people to your page?

not sure I understood well, but are you saying you may not want your friends to know about your business page?

That's ok, they will never know unless you tell them. Or, unless, by chance, they see your face on the page image/logo...

Oh no, I'm saying I have 500 friends. I don't know that many of them will like my page. So it will be less eyeballs on what I'm trying to promote. How do you get people to like the facebook business page?

fb advertising, contests which include like and share to partecipate, promote it on your twitter and instagram and pinterest account... promote it on your main web site and on your YoutTube Channel...

Yes, create a business page for your online business. Using your personal account, you can create a fan page or business page. Then, begin by inviting your friends to like your new page.

Just a side note...

A Facebook page is different from a Facebook group where members can post their stuff. In a page, you the admin, is the only one who can post, and those people who have liked, can only comment on your post. Except, if you have assigned a contributor or another admin to your page.

Hey, CoachGom. I recently created a group, within my personal Facebook page, for business stuff. Is this still frowned upon by Facebook? Wondering if I should create a business Facebook page, then invite people to like. Already got going on the group thing, and have had a few people join and like some of my posts. Really don't want to start all over again, but don't want to get into trouble and be banned from Facebook either.

Yes, create a business page, as there are productivity tools you can use, like insights, and other else. You can view stats of your viewers, like the number of reach your posts have. Those things are not available with your personal account.

Good to know. Thanks!

You should make a business page. It's very easy to set up and manage. Never use a personal profile for business purposes. It's in violation with Facebook terms and conditions and may lead to your account being shut down

Good question Dani. How do you intergrate you Facebook business page in to your website?

Hey, Ed. I'm not integrating facebook into my website, just want a place to put posts from my website on social media. My niche is about stay at home moms wanting to make and save money, and I have a ton of fellow mommy friends, so I want a place to put posts where my friends will see them, and possibly click on some of my links.

I would set up separate accounts. I didn't do that and now I am probably going to go back and do it because I don't want my personal life interfering with my business.

Don't use separate accounts. Set up a Business page from your personal profile. Your business page will not show any connection to your personal profile as long as you only post as the business

Thanks, Sam. I'll keep it in mind.

Hey, J. I created a group within my personal facebook page, and put some of my posts within the group. Is this ok? I invited friends, and they can choose to join or not. Hopefully, that doesn't violate anything within the Facebook rules.

Dani, absolutely if you are ready for it.
I agree with Damo.

If it is a business concern create a page. It literally takes minutes to do and Facebook steps you right through it. Leave your personal your personal. Also at some point you will learn to use FB ads and you will need a page for that. Groups are great if you spend time in them like you do here and offer a bunch of help.
Hope that helps.
