Will I be hurting myself by publishing posts on Linkedin that I have on my website?

Sure hope not! I post there with every new blog! sends them to my site and hopefully I'm getting new traffic that way! I rewrite the headlines/intro copy on the actual LI post so that they relate more to working people. EG, my Vegan blog, I rewrote the post title to say "Feeling Sluggish at work?" Or like my review on contact lenses, I opened the post with "having a hard time seeing your computer screen at work?" Stuff like that.

No - as long as you just post a link to your post - therefore no duplicate content. No different to any other social media.

All the best, Mark

Why not just share you URL? It is yours, not repeated and you are driving to your own website.
