Hi everyone,

So I'm wanting to use FB as a tool to get my site known about with my fb friends and be able to do statuses on what's going on with it all on my site. (not behind scene but from my craft stuff)

what's the best way to do it? any thoughts on the matter would be great.

I think a great strategy is to create a Facebook group related to your niche. You will be able to engage with your followers, build trust, promote your new articles, and announce your offerings. It takes time to build a large group, but I think it's worth to grow it alongside your website. Many websites get a big percentage of traffic thanks to social media marketing.

Great thanks I was wondering if a group or page would be best. I kinda guesses it would take time to build a following on their that's why I wanted to start it sooner than later.

Pages act as profiles for your business, while groups act like places for like-minded communication.

No worries, she is in favor of Facebook pages and she explains why. I am not into social media, I don't use Facebook for my site... so she is the best one to trust. :)

Thanks. I only want to use FB as that's a main social media I use. What methods do you use. I'm always interested to hear other peoples opinions and view on ways to do things as it's a great way to learn new ways :)

Facebook would be like a website in your website. It can only help!

Hey, if I understand your question correctly you just want to post every now and then on FB about your site. I personally ask questions in my statuses because they provoke engagement. I usually post Thursday-Sunday between 1p-4p(FB's best times to post apparently.) Sometimes it makes sense to post pictures WITH the statuses because people become more engaged with pictures as opposed to plain text.

edit: also I don't go too crazy with posting personally, if I post 2 blogs a week I'll link a FB post each time. Usually I'll post on instagram in the form of video or pic, put that post on a blog, it automatically goes to FB then I'll link from FB back to the blog so people can read more.

Hope this helps, there's also plenty of training on it here for it.

Just use fb like you would use your website, once you have published a post or page put the link up on fb and try to create a conversation to engage people
