Using hash tags for pins in your discripition for pinterets?

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday hope everyone is having a great week, I have a question for you. I have been using hashtags for a while in my pin description.

are hashtags for Pinterest pins still effective, should I still be using them, and if the answer is yes how many of them should I use in my pin description. Thank you so much for your help and all the best to you.

I have read most recently that Pinterest no longer encourages the use of hash tags, so I have not been using them.

I think they are effective as long as they are relevant. I have seen some that don’t really relate back to the pin…
But overall yes.
I keep all hashtags to 3 or 4 max, just me…but that is how many I skim to see if the article fits my desires…

Hi Norman,
I have been using hashtags as well in my pin description.
Not sure how many is acceptable, but I tend to only use 2-3 relevant ones.
