I've just been using my personal account and have friends share my website link. Might look at having a seperate account later when I've more traffic.

Rosalyn, go to the little downward arrow up in the top right corner and click it. Then click on settings and then privacy. Under privacy, the first setting is who can see my stuff. Get in there and edit it down to friends. Your family are friends on FB, too. As to a business page, anyone who likes your page can see the posts except that FB doesn't send them to everybody. In fact, they send to less than 10% of your followers. But anyone who likes your page can visit you to read them. Hope this helps!

Oh! Thanks Carla. I went to settings on my personal page and set it to Friends and Friends of. Then I went to my fan page and set it to Public and they both changed to Public.
So I thought one setting is the same on both.
So are you saying that even though my personal setting is Friends and Family, the Public cannot see my personal page only my Fan Page?

Mostly, but I wouldn't set it to friends of friends. That leaves you wide open. People can "see" you through others. For instance, if you're on my friends list and you respond to a post, someone on your friends list might see that, even though they're not permitted on mine. Facebook privacy is iffy, at best, but I have mine locked down to friends only and nobody can tag me in anything and lots of things are ME ONLY.

I have to get ready to leave for the rest of the day, but I'll try playing with the settings on my fan pages later on. I don't know why your fan page settings should change your profile settings. They're two different entities. Hmmm This is going to be an experiment.

You are supposed to be able to, however I have had pictures stolen and used elsewhere. I am creating a separate account for business as suggested. Plus it is my understanding: if you don't have a business facebook account, they can kick u off for some spamming posts .

Linda, you can't sell or conduct business from a personal page unless you turn it into a business page. Many have done that. Otherwise, you have to create a business page These are quite open, actually, but you can lock down your personal timeline pretty tight. Mine is open to look at but nobody can post on there except me or if I give them permission which is rare. Got tired of waking up to gross stuff on my own page. There are ways.

So does that mean you don't know how to set them separately?

The easiest way would for you just to add that address to your contact list.

Usually any one listed in your contact list comes through with no problem, and does not go to spam.

What contact list do you mean Linda?

In your email you create a contact list. The easiest way to tell you is to pretend you are writing an email to the address WA send from, so the address is in the address bar, write test in subject and email. There should be something that comes up at the top of the page that will ask you if you want to add it to your contacts, or contact list. Click yes and save as draft.
