If you register two domains does Google recognise them as one or separate domains.l had to buy another domain as the first one wasn't very good but I still write articles on the first one. My other question is let's take an example if I have to write 30 articles in 3 months and posting them on the second domain does that mean l have to write another 30 and post them on the first domain or does Google consolidate the two domains as I am the write for both?

Hope I make sense with my qualifications.

Hi - the two domains are entirely separate, Google won't know that you own both of them, and won't recognise that the same person is writing on them. Therefore, they will be ranked individually on their own merits. Make sure you don't post the same article on both sites, as Google will see it as duplicate content.

Separate domains are treated separately by Google :)

Thank you, this means if you are running both domains you need to put ten times the effort. OMG!

Well, 2x the effort. That’s why it’s not recommended... you should only initially focus on 1 site :)
