For some reasons unknown, my average view duration on my site keeps going down, not to mention my higher-than-usual bounce rates. Admittedly, this is frustrating because I am still writing high-quality, SEO researched content. I don't understand why this is happening and feel like this is out of my control. I have downloaded a plugin for clearing my cache and increasing the speed of my site and still don't know how to fix this. Any advice on mindset and execution?!!

Thanks for your assistance!

While I'd like to say yes, I am pretty sure there is plenty of room to make progress nonetheless.

have you got microsoft clarity installed ...it is another analytics program where you see the interaction of your visitors with your content...
then you can try to see what they are doing and why ... it's simple to add and wait a couple of hours and the data starts coming in...
you may get some ideas as to why they disappear...
i hope you manage to get it sorted

To increase time on the site and decrease bounce rate, I would recommend:

-add more images to your posts to get readers attention
- add videos to your posts (this is a killer tip) to increase time on the site
- break down your paragraphs into smaller paragraphs to make your posts easier to read
- ask questions in first few paragraphs to get their attention and keep them on the site
- use internal linking to link up your content (this helps to decrease bounce rate)
- create a custom page for your offers and a highly-visible call to action button to redirect your traffic to your offers (helps with bounce rate and increases revenue)
- use pop ups to collect emails or redirect traffic to a sales page, etc.
- create Pinterest infographics whenever it's possible to increase time on the page
- make your sidebar interesting with banners, images, sign-up forms (don't overload)
- increase your site speed (link at the end of this post)
- don't worry about it and focus on content.

That's what I've done to improve both factors on my site.

Sometimes, high-bounce rate and low-time on the site can mean good things. It could mean that you've hit the nail on the head right from the start and your users got what they were looking for instantly.

Makes sense?

That's why I would recommend adding a link or a call to action button somewhere in the first 500 words to redirect traffic to an offer page or any other page/post to keep them on the site.

Hello Ivan, what kind of popups do you use?

I use Thrive Leads for all my popups. It’s about $60 for a life time license.
