In a couple of comments now, I've been asked where to purchase a certain product. I used my affiliate link and then added that it was an affiliate link and added a short disclosure, to make sure I complied with the general rules and those of Amazon.

Is it necessary for me to add the disclosure link or is it enough that it is in my main content?

Hey Diane,

If you have an affiliate disclosure on your website already... and the comment you are leaving is on that website... then the link is already there for viewers to seek out if they so wish.

By your stating that the link you are providing is your affiliate link, that SHOULD be enough to comply.

However, when in doubt ALWAYS check with the business you are affiliated with. In this case, check with your Amazon Associate technical affiliate support.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hi Diane. Comments are considered an extension of the post to which they relate so you do not need to repeat the disclosure or even point out that it is an affiliate link.

Good Question. I have seen Kyle add affiliate links in the training but he didn’t say anything about the disclosure link.
