Wanted to know if any WA members here are using a CRM software or system that they highly recommend for managing their business stats and running reports? Any recommendations?

Try Nimble. Some digital agencies use it.

I use Trello for task management, my editorial calendar, etc. You can see how I use it in my business here: After reading what you're trying to do, it looks like you'd probably want more than that.

I know you can get alot of data from setting up your Google Analytics and your goals and also by setting up the tracking code--that could help you see the percentage of people that are converting.

If you want to visualize their flow thru your website, then I'd recommend Hotjar for heatmaps, visitor recordings, and to analyze the percentage of people who land on one page and make it thru to the end of your funnel. Combining the analytics from Hotjar with the Analytics from Google might be a good workaround.

GetResponse has also built out more of a CRM component into their software nowadays, so you can see how people are making it thru your funnel, but that may or may not have the level of sophistication you need.

I hope some of these suggestions can help. Best wishes with your advertising!

Affordability wise Webtalk offers a free social CRM, but industry wide Sugar and Hub Spot are top of the food chain.

Can anybody recommend crm software?

I've got 3 domain names sitting there and it says "ready" under the hosting column, but when I click on "transfer to WA" it doesn't acknowledge what I'm trying to do with the f

Did Namecheap actually release them to WA? When you do a whois, where does it show them registered? Typically cancelled means it is in a redemption mode, the person that registered the domain last has a chance to pay a redemption fee. this can be costly depending on the registrar.

No I previously owned all three domains via namecheap. I went through the process of transferring them and namecheap gave me an authorization code, which I entered. WA then prompts me to pay $13.99, so I do, if it'll take payment and not tell me that it's been cancelled. Oddly, all three domains are sitting as if in ques, with a button to the right of each that says "transfer to WA" I hit this button for any and all of the 3 domains, and nothing happens, except next to the third domain, it says "cancelled - domain is not registered and cannot be transferred". This is really confusing to a newbie.

If you already own it and want to transfer it from namecheap to WA, it shouldn't be so confusing and it shouldn't look like you're paying WA $13.99 for a year, if you've still got almost a year left from paying namecheap. Very confusing.

when you transfer a domain from one registrar to another, you always have to pay for an additional year. it adds a year to the end of your current registration. You don't have to transfer the domain over, you can leave it at namecheap and simply point it to the WA Servers if you don't want to incur additional cost right now.

If the 3rd domain says cancelled, you may have an issue. Do you still have logn access to your account at namecheap? go and see if they are still there. You may be able to renew the 3rd domain without paying a redemption fee. If it means a lot, I would go ahead and secure it over there before you don't have a chance to do it later

Thank you Bo! I had to do that with namecheap before with another domain that was having difficulty transferring via the WA process. So in order to prevent the domain from expiring, I paid namecheap for another year, then tried to transfer, then ended up having to pay WA $13.99 again, just for it to transfer! That's not cool. I know it's not like a thousand dollars or anything, but I have seen nothing clear or smooth about moving a domain name from namecheap to WA. Quite time consuming...

literally a valuable and hard to come by 2 HOURS spent trying to get it to work (including watching training videos about getting or transferring a domain... to no avail) I feel like an idiot, but I swear it seems to be a WA issue. I've submitted a ticket, finally. Maybe it'll clear things up?

When I think of affiliate marketing… And creating a website here on WA, my artwork is not the first thing that comes to my mind. Although it is something I am passionate

IIRC this guy made almost $500,000 with this site since 2010. Originally each drawing was $10 later options were added resulting in up to $30 per drawing.

Wow, that certainly IS interesting! Not remotely my style of fine art, but very interesting indeed! Thanks for showing me that though... it gives me hope.

I don't see any reason for you not to. Shoot for the moon.

Take care

I think the only reason would be that I don't have years to wait for it to take off and finally make a dollar. I actually need to build "replacement income" within the next two years... and I LOVE the way we are taught to build it here, selling ready made products... It might be wiser to only focus on an art site a little here and there, and do the more authentic "affiliate marketing" instead.

*** Yes, go for it! ... all the best with it! ... cheerio ... :) ***

I feel you can create an artwork niche that will not have as much competition as the other usual niches. That's good as it gives you the opportunity to select keywords that will rank high in the search engines.

Products in the Fine Art world can be quite diverse so you have loads of material for engaging articles.

Go for it. Art appears to be your passion. Might as well make money on it by providing valuable advice to budding artists.

All the best to you.

Cheers!

Edwin

Well I just discovered a lot of what you said in that first paragraph Edwin... wow! I could recommend basic business or marketing strategies (including WA eventually), art supplies and products, and printing services, etc. while also selling my work with a special purpose that could also be very "nichey", AND also work through something like zazzle or cafe press to sell that "sun face tire cover" or linen beach bag or tee shirt with my work on it, ya know? Hm. I suppose it's just a matter of really getting the wheels turning and branching out. And noting what the audiences are wanting to see. No it doesn't sound as cut and dry as recommending a product that's already out there, but definitely something that could grow with a number of possibilities that I haven't even come up with yet. I have almost too many thoughts at once now... I'll definitely have to get organized.

The fastest way is to sell a product that is already in the market, that is what affiliate marketing is all about, promoting a product from someone else who pays a commission/fee.

The longer route is to sell your own products, which is something you are planning to do.

I am not sure if there are many artist who pay affiliate commissions but you can think about the following strategy suggestion.

Find famous artist that are similar to your artwork, i.e. niche. Write about them and also write about the uniqueness of your artwork. this way you can leverage their followers into educating them about yours and make them your buyers.

- Stanley

Yes, it's not as cut and dry as the definition of affiliate marketing, and that does concern me, because if anybody needs to find a faster track to earning, it would be the artist dying to do their art, but can't because of a bad JOB. But I am thinking there might be a way to blend the affiliate thing with the art thing. Please see my reply to Edwin above. It would be a matter of being very creative and organized. Not the easiest route, but perhaps something that I keep adding to over time.

Yes, you can do that and be creative. I suggest you list down keywords on what you can write about and what products you can promote in two lists. Then connect them to see alignment. Once you do that, you can group them into categories. These can be the categories you use in WordPress and plan your navigation menu accordingly.

I love the organization you’re relaying. I’ll have to make a “map” to see it, otherwise I’d be baffled and not very focused.
