The story is told of the first time Bill Gates and Warren Buffett got together. Bill Gates took his Dad with him because his Dad wanted to meet Warren Buffett. They met for an informal breakfast meeting, Bill Gates Dad asked them both to write on individual pieces of paper what it was that made them each successful in their lives, especially in their businesses. He didn't want any collaboration or discussion between the two, he wanted individual answers.
Interestingly they both wrote the same thing. The one single activity that led to success was the FOCUS they both had especially as they built their businesses! Are you surprised? I'm not!
Personal development coach, motivator and public speaker, Tony Robbins has said: "Where FOCUS goes, energy flows".
I was very impressed with the webinar that Kyle did recently on the SECRET SAUCE OF SUCCESS. Did you catch number six? As I recall Kyle said: "It only takes one thing to reach success -- don't spread too thin". Then he went on to say: "As you are starting out, concentrate on one website! Perfect it! FOCUS! Then in number seven he said: "Retain,sustain your FOCUS!" I appreciated these words from Kyle! At times I have been guilty of the lack of FOCUS! I am going to change my ways and refocus to the continual building and perfecting my website and my business!
I want success, and I know that each of you want success!
I hope I don't overuse this quote, but I have always liked the words of Zig Ziglar: "Are you willing to pay the price for success?"

It is true that nothing worth while can be accomplished without focus. It is amazing how such a powerful key to success (anywhere really) can hide right in front of our eyes.
I would like to remind those focusing on something, that the Webster's dictionary says this:
fo·cus
/ˈfōkəs/Submit
noun
1. the center of interest or activity.
This little definition contains so much that we might miss the obvious ... again.
To me the center of interest or activity can mean different things. I would rather FOCUS on this definition: The main thing one gives top priority to in their profession, that is magnified by concentrated action to increase productivity and profitability to its maximum.
So to fix this let it be clear that I can focus on old cowboy movies but just going to buy popcorn does not constitute activity needed.
The center of interest and any activity which brings that center of interest to a successful level.

Laser-like focus of concentrated effort is a very powerful use of one's energy un-like 'scatter rays!' ... lol ...

So many of us, I believe lack true focus. I don't brag very often, in this case, it really isn't bragging, but I take on a too diversified approach, we got 3 websites and many other distractions.
I must look into focusing on one thing.
