When I reset my password in site manager is this now also my new password for wordpress? I am trying to change my avatar but I cannot log into wordpress?
Finally got this fixed after wasting 3 days, not happy!!!
I have an apple and was using safari.
Support from Wordpress.com finally sorted it out.
I had to clear my cookies, delete all stored website data and clear caches. I then had to go to google crome and install that on my apple. I then logged into gravatar.com with my wordpress.com log in and bingo it worked.
In my opinion gravatar.com is not the best but, hey I am grumpy for wasting so much time...
I'm glad you got it sorted out.
In case anyone else comes here to read this thread:
I think the mistake most people make is after seeing the large message to 'Log in With Your WordPress dot com Account' - they don't scroll down to look under the blue horizontal login tab, where there is an option to Create An Account without having a wordpress dot com account, as shown in the screenshot I left in my earlier reply.

I am still stuck. I have a wordpress log on and can log in. But if I try to log in on gravatar using my wordpress log in it goes to a screen asking me to give gravatar permission to use my wordpress details. When I click approve it just goes to the sign in using wordpress screen. I am stuck in a loop. Very frustrated!!!
Hi Martin
If you're having problems logging in have you tried logging in via Site manager?
To be honest I always log in to my website via site manager anyway and it negates
any lack of syncing between WA and wordpress.
Hope that's helpful ;)
you cannot change your avatar in site manager you have to log in to gravatar using your wordpress log in and it is stuck in a loop.
Got it fixed, took three frustrating days... The support team from Wordpress came to the rescue. thanks for checking following up.
Wordpress dot com has nothing to do with your WordPress website. You need a different account at wordpress dot com to create or change your avatar and you'll have a different password.
The word wordpress has 3 distinct meanings:
1) WordPress (capital W, capital P) is the content management system which runs your website
2) http://wordpress.org is the free site which supplies WordPress the content management system, free plugins and free themes and lots of help
3) http://wordpress.com is a hosting website which has free and paid (very expensive) hosting for WordPress sites.
Your gravatar is controlled by http://wordpress.com. They are asking you to log in using your http://wordpress.com details (which you don't have because you don't have a website hosted by http://wordpress.com)
You need to create an account at http://wordpress.com (free) so you can have a gravatar and then you can log in to gravatar to create or change your gravatar.
I hope that makes sense, Martin.
I have already created an account on wordpress.com and I can log in no problem on that site. When I try to log in in gravatar.com by using my wordpress.com log in it logs me in but as soon as I click on the authorise Gravatar to use my wordpress.com details it just goes back to the "log in with your wordpress.com account" screen and so it continues in a circle.
Yes that is the button I am signing in on, I enter my details and then I get a page that says:
Howdy! Would you like to log in to Gravatar using your WordPress.com account?
This will allow Gravatar to:
View user information data such as username, name, email, blog, and Gravatar.
Deny Approve
Logged in as: artattracted
Log in with a different account

I click the approve button and I am back to the first log on page.
Yes Martin, it's the same for your wordpress site. Take another look and see if you've changed password for the right site (not Siterubix).
To change your wordpress avatar, you actually need an account in "Gravatar". You can make one free here: https://en.gravatar.com/site/signup/
Here is also a full instruction that show how to change your wordpress avatar:

I only have the one .com so password reset is for the right site. When I go on the gravatar site it wants me to log in using wordpress but it keeps saying the password is not correct?
At the Gravatar site, after you click on the WordPress sign in link, you need to scroll down on that page to the bottom and use the link that says
"create a Gravatar Account" - see my SCREENSHOT.
You don't need to have a wordpress dot com or wordpress dot org account.
It has nothing to do with the password you use for your website, that is completely separate and you should not use that password anywhere else...lol.
Use the same email address as your website admin email to associate the gravatar with your site.

Thank you I will give it another go, got so frustrated I just had to switch off the computer and go have tea with a neighbour.
Still not working, as soon as I log in it says authorised gravatar to use my wordpress account but as soon as I click on the authorise button it just says log on with your wordpress account. and so the circle goes round and round.

I found a theme on Wordpress I like and now need to select it within the Wealth Affiliate website builder but the list is soooo long and there is no sort or search function. D
That is a very good question that I actually don't know the answer to!
I'm certain that someone will though. Let me know if you don't get any help
from the community and we'll try plan b (i.e. message Kyle and/or Carson;)
Yes, there is. Go to Appearance – Themes – Add New. Type in the name of the theme you want in the Search Themes box on the right (image below).
I am on step 3 of building your website within Wealth Affiliate and cannot see these options you are referring to?
You can just choose any theme and change it later once you build your site. You can change it as many times you want.
Ok will do that, thanks. I would suggest to WA that adding a search button will definitely enhance user satisfaction.
