Hi everybody ...

I'm getting a bunch of suspicious QSR=1 values ...

If it's any help, I just did a quick check of a key word I found yesterday. There were two or three variations with a QSR of 1, but most had higher numbers. I'll have to keep an eye on those 1s for a day or two! Hope your issues clear up fast.

Thanks for the time Nancy!

hey hi Smartketeer! ... ya -- got a '1' and 'great' on a recent search --- lol .... likely they're doing maintenance / upgrades / servers et al ...

Thanks for the time and the feedback Kaju!

Your welcome. Knowing the keyword I chose, I think its actually legitimately good.

Zed, did you ever get to the bottom of this issue as to what caused this...I also just got a whole bunch of QSR = 1's for similar search terms!

No, I didn't ... I was hoping that following my question we'll have an answer from support, Carson, etc ... Clearly, we have an issue here ... I'm still getting similar invalid results for any kind of niche or keyword.

And as you said, the uncertainty is even more annoying ...

No doubt, these QSR = 1 often center around one particular type of long-tail keyword with various permutations:( This concerns me.

I’m glad you posted this! I thought I hit gold on my last 2 keywords when they came up 0 and 1

I’ll have to recheck them now

I have gotten normal looking results over the last few days right up until a minute ago. Hope it is cleared up for you soon.

Yes, it started a few hours ago ...

Thanks Joe!

i think the site is going through another upgrade - the whole site was down for a bit the other day.
so i think it will settle down within 24 hours.
it maybe to do with the move over to the new servers.
what would be nice is for the management to put a status out on what is happening rather than members guessing.
it will be back to normal soon Zed.

Hi Zsolt,
You can doublecheck it real quick: run a search on the keyword but put it in quotes ie ‘business outsourcing’. This will tell you the number of quoted search results aka qsr.
You can also try inurl: and intitle: before the keyword to see how many pages are out there targeting these keywords in the title and the permalink

Hi (Szia) Gergely,

Thanks for the feedback ... Yes, I know how to use the search operators ...

But that's not the point ... Jaaxy should give me correct data without additional efforts and "tricks" ... That's the very essence of a keyword research tool :)

Szia:) yes, but are they correct?! Maybe they are, those keyphrases seem really difficult to put into a sentence...

But tbh i do too have some doubt in how correct or rather, how relevant those numbers in Jaaxy are, so I always research through Jaaxy AND manual both.

No, I'm pretty sure that those values are wrong ... And again, the very essence of a keyword research tool is that you won't need to double-check things. More than that, the operator-based filtered manual search is always "contaminated" with several additional factors (search history, browser settings, semantics, etc) ...

Thanks again!

I did not know about the manual search being contaminated... cheers

In the last one hour I wasn't able to access my account settings page.

I get the following error:

This page isn’t working my.wealthyaffiliate.com is current

another one of their big updates - we will all find out soon.
hopefully they won't crash the system.
remember they work very hard in the background and it will be a major update to benefit all of us using this platform.
I would be patient - just like waiting for a post to rank.
It will be back to normal- or even better- in a few hours.
Phil

Right now everything seems to be OK ...

Facing the same issues, search bar, notification email, the account settings, the bell notification.

I wonder where they are up to, I am used to a major update/upgrade of something when everything is out of order

Thanks Loes!

Right now everything seems to be OK ...

Maybe we are facing some major changes?

I believe a server went down

Everything is well that ends well :)

Please help me to understand this issue ...

We have a bunch of rules regarding self-promotion ... And we have a cool Site Feedback and Site Comment module ...

Still

Yes. As Kyle stated on his blog, using the 'give & take' method increases member's ranking in the search engines. Many members go this route for more comments on their site.

Thanks Ronald!

Interesting point. I mean there is a specific page for comments and it encourages you to get involved with someone else's page and then earn the right through a credit system to be given that privilege I thought it was a no, no...

Thanks Michael!

Yes, that's fine. It's part of exchanging comments. Otherwise, how would people get comments on particular pages in that thread?

Thanks for your feedback Nathaniel.

Hello,
The link you provided is on the Give and Take Comment Thread. In this thread such requests are allowed. The give and take was to make it easier for those without credits, and thus unable to request feedback, to get some comments and feedback.

I don't use that system myself I think the Site Comments and Site Feedback tools are more apt to provide quality comments and feedback as people have to earn and use credits to use it, thus not wanting to squander their efforts (there's a cost, etc.).

In general, advertising your site or services to other members is not allowed in things such as live chat or when commenting in or responding to other's blogs and trainings that are not related (i.e. you don't ask for comments on your site in a comment you're leaving on someone's how-to use social media post).

PM's are OK as long as your not sending out blind solicitations, creating your own training or blog is OK but the topic needs to be of use to members not just some advertisement and so on and even then I'd steer clear of doing it.

Never post private URLs or advertising in Live Chat. It happens a lot and mostly by accident. Others will usually just say hey, not allowed and that's that.

Thanks for your "meticulous" answer Scott!

As I said to Nicole, I just find it strange and contradictory ... As we don't have separate Spam NO NO rules for different sections or pages ...

I agree. I think it came from finding issues with the way things were and trying to find "fixes" to address them quickly.

For the most part people are pretty good at policing themselves and most don't try to break the rules intentionally. Every now and then we do have a "troublemaker" pop up but they don't stay long.

I prefer the comment tools as it has more checks and balances. Again most are honest and will reciprocate in the give-take thread but there's just to real accountability there and I guess I have trust issues ;).

You're right!

Thanks again for your time and your valuable input!

This particular example is apart of Kyle's training where he allows people to give a comment and take a comment. I think he's done that just to get people started on commenting and to get some traffic to their sites.
Any other place you cannot post a link to your site

Thanks Nicole!

Yes, I know what page is that ...

Still it's a contradictory issue don't you think? I see it like a "backdoor" that allows you to trick the rules ...

Thanks for your concerns I just follow the training here and my house doesn't have a backdoor and if it didI am not smart enough at this stage of my training,to find it.

Hi there,

So ... We all know, that the ranking algorithm has been improved recently ... And I've read that the Live Chat module has become even more important ... Which i

Chatting among members about your success will always increase your rankings within the WA community. Involvement within the community is 'key' regarding status.

Hi Ronald,

Thanks for your feedback!

And I agree: involvment and chatting about your success or any relevant question and helpful topic is the very essence of the Live Chat.

Still, my opinion is the same: I think that the WA Live Chat is not the place where you should chatting about your haircut or your favorite movie ...

Not to mention that is an additional load to the system resources. One that carries no value ...

And (in spite of my formulation) it's really not about rankings ... I just see that many members aren't using the Live Chat anymore as they aren't interested in "social small talks".

But of course, we all have equal rights, and we all have the right to have different opinions ... So it's OK ... I just wanted to hear some thoughts ...

Thanks again for your input!

Zed

Check your comment section. I already posted a comment to this question.

Too much to ask for in too little time. The ranking thing is wacky.

Someone needed to ask this question. Good work, smartketeer.

Thanks Fran!

Hopefully I won't get banned again for asking sensitive questions :)

And what's your answer?

Hi Zsolt. We are often told that our blogs on WA should remain relevant to our business. There are even many rules stating what we can and can't blog about. Maybe those same rules should define what we can and can't chat about. I don't even bother with live chat anymore because most of the discussions are centred around social rather then business issues. Jim

I totally agree Jim!

Hence my question ... And your idea is brilliant! We need some clear rules to eliminate the valuless small talk from the live Live Chat module.

Thanks for your feedback my friend!

I learn very little from Live Chat. I learn a lot from reading posts on blogs from people who are smarted than I.

Which means that I'm right ...

Thanks for your feedback Mark!

I enjoy the daily menu from SteveMand. Maybe this should be rewarded for best gourmet foods on a menu. :-)

Thanks for your feedback Jackie!

This was a teaser.

When I first came to WA most of the live chat was 'relevant' i.e. about business-related things.

It has now become a mixed bag of social and business related posts. Personally, I don't mind this as it does break up the momentum a bit.

However, I'm not too sure how those new to the platform would view this.

Thanks for your reply Jackie!

We could use a little more humor here for sure, but I really don't care what you are having for dinner. This is not facebook.

As you probably know

It is what it is. I know you have a lot of knowledge, but I am sure there will be others that may not have that same amount of savey as you do. Hope that wasn't being rude.

Not at all Michael :)

Thanks for your thoughts!

You're "self employed" but it still seems to have an employee/ employer feel to it with the 90 day probationary period and all.

Key words: 90 day probationary period. I guess I can understand if it's just a "getting acclimated period". An opportunity to get a feel of the program before teaching it to others, right?. I'm just guessing though.

Jaye J.

I agree. Purchasing a yearly membership is a very strong statement to your being serious about sticking with it. If you bought a yearly subscription, you're set with it.

I wasn't aware of this but, now that I know, I will be waiting until my 90 days are up to even consider yearly. Thanks for that question.

Jaye J.

Thanks for the great answer!

Hi Zed,

Good question and glad you've launched a discussion on this ... you've got a point -- and for whatever reason back in the day when WA was first developed, they likely had some good ones... and can there be exceptions? ... yes, of course ... likely need to present one's individual case ...

Training does take time, effort & knowledge to create -- having said that I personally have found you very knowledgeable in the 'helpful answers' department because you bring previous experience in the field ...

... who knows? ... truly, yes, it takes awhile for 'newbies' to get around proficiently on the WA platform & go through the training et al.... still at it ... and likely for the year! ... :)

Did you know that there are other 3-month restrictions? ... i discovered early on that a member can only publish one blog per day ... now why is that? ...

There really needs to be a list of features (restrictions in this case) of what one has actually purchased with premium yearly... a posting somewhere? ...

Again, thanks kindly for shedding some light on this matter... enjoy the long weekend... cheerio... :)

Thanks Keisha,

I'm afraid I'm far away from shedding some light ... I just raised a question which seems to be a logical ...

In my opinion the three month period isn't a real guarantee when we are talking about the quality of the newly created tutorials ... If it would be, these new tutorials wouldn't be approved individually ... in 2-3 months :)

... true ... perhaps you need a chat with Kyle then ... training et al is a whole another dimension ... :)

Chatting with the gods is "not allowed" to regular mortals :)

Joking of course ... But I'm pretty sure that they have more important things to do

And I'm pretty sure that they won't change the rules just because a 40-days WA rookie raised a question :)

Wow Keisha, that's a really good answer and, I didn't know about the other restrictions either. I just hit the ground running and stayed focused on the learning. I never thought to waste a lot of precious time reading restrictions to that degree.

Jaye J.

Capitalization

I am not sure about the three months training here at WA is very intense, I have been here more then 3 months I would not even think about training tutorials, but many people come in to WA with the knowledge of marketing some have done it for years. So I guess you never really know how much the person really knows.

It is just like live chat, people join premium and the same day they join they are giving advice to people. It is the wrong advice but it is allowed. Needless to say I don't go into live chat anymore.

Karen

Thanks for your thoughts Karen!

You've said a LOT of true things :)

BTW Why the repulsion for the live chat?

It was just an example of how long people should be here at WA, before they take on the task of training or giving advice.

That's exactly what I said ... The 3 months is definitely not a guarantee that you'll be able to create good tutorials

I guess the same restrictions apply, we have seen those who are premium, go off just because they aren't earning money quickly, when they faili to understand this is THEIR businesss and NOT an opportunity

Thats my take on it

Thanks for your thoughts Dave!

Your welcome

Rules ! are rules and upgrade doesn't necessarily gives us rights to move to the next level it only ensure our membership part.
Tutorial can not be skip cause we fill the upgrade gives privilege to make videos .
The process is outlined for our success at being a WA .

Hope Vicki has the point.

And there's my point below :)

Because a lot of people do not have the knowledge or understanding to create training Zed and after 3 months most people will have learned a lot and also have the ability to run a training. I hope this helps
What you do with your posts is great and would be considered similar to a training and soon you will have the reins even looser :)
Vicki

Thanks for your feedback Vicki!

And of course I get the point, but honestly ... I kind of disagree :)

Why?

Because ...

1. In my opinion in 3 months you can't learn enough (if you are a rookie) to create tutorials ... That requires a much deeper knowledge ...

2. As you said, the fact that you are a newcomer here at WA doesn't mean that you don't have the required knowledge ... Not to mention, that any new training material must be approved by our gods :)

Hi Claude,

You'll have my friend! Everything is hard before it becomes easy :)

And believe me, it's not about me ... And it's not about personal pride or anything like that ...

It's about commitment ... And I think a yearly membership is a sign of commitment :)
