How to check your grammar & spelling in WordPress
Here's a rock-solid fact: many Wordpress users prefer to create their initial drafts using various desktop apps like Microsoft Word, etc.
Why? The most common reason?
Because, the Wordpress post/page editor cannot spellcheck and these desktop apps are coming with spelling and grammar check options.
But, there's a small problem ... If you are using desktop solutions you may still miss errors while editing articles in Wordpress! In other words, if you want to create truly error-proof articles, you'll need a different - integrated - solution.
Needless to say, there are many Wordpress plugins as well as some online tools to help improve your writing. In fact, that's the real problem ... There are too many available solutions and finding the best one can be a very annoying and time-consuming task ...
Long story short: I've spent a lot of time and I tried all the popular grammar-checking tools (Hemmingway, Ginger, Grammarly, After the Deadline, Jetpack, etc), and finally I've come to the conclusion that Grammarly is the best option if you want to check grammar and spelling mistakes in Wordpress.
Grammarly is an AI-powered writing assistant that will help you to avoid grammar and spelling mistakes in your writing. It automatically checks spelling and grammar as you write and highlights the errors, so you can fix it.
And is a free tool which comes with an optional paid upgrade for more features. With its free edition, you will be able to fix critical grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors, while the upgraded version comes with advanced grammar, sentence structure and style features. More than that, the premium version also has a plagiarism detector that checks more than 16 billion web pages!
This is why I've decided to create a short Grammarly tutorial, where I will show you how easy is to efficiently check your grammar & spelling in Wordpress.

Oh, My!
I've been writing all articles, in Site Content, 'til late. Now, I'm doing WA blogs, on WP, and have been pulling out my phone! I thought it was just me!
Thank, you, John! You rock!

Excellent article as I was pondering the same questions. I am long winded and am surely making mistakes. Thank you
Hi Zed
I've been using Grammarly for about 3 months. I just had a struggle with it over some wording I wanted ( leaving out the, to, etc.. ) The free version doesn't look out for words that belong in a sentence so it's wise to proofread what one writes. I need to take a look at the premium version.
For now, though, I am happy with the free version. Thanks for mentioning this.

Great Tool!!! I installed it Sunday on my PC and have it programmed for not only WP but for anything I write anywhere. Really handy in FB and Twitter.
