I think I've never came across to this scenario and I find it an interesting question. So, if anyone knows what happens, please, enlighten me/us :)
Detailed ques
As far as I know, one has to be an up to date paid premium member to get the commission generated through a premium referral ID. ~Jude
Thanks for the answer Jude.
So, it's like your affiliate links (and your account) isn't working/tracking at all, when your Premium membership is not active... (although your profile still exists)
Therefore, if your membership is inactive for a while and you get some premium referrals from your affiliate links in the meantime, if you re-activate your membership later you don't get any credit (not even 50%, as you get with a Starter free membership).
Nice to know. Thanks again :)
Hey Stilian,
If your account is inactive that won't affect your being paid for those who sign up here when using your affiliate links.
None payment only happens if you allow your membership to lapse (go unpaid) and then during that lapse, if someone signs up using your link, you won't get paid.
Hope this clarifies this issue.
When you leave and return with a renewed subscription, you basically pick up where you left off, including getting back your followers and paid referrals. You don't lose them.
But you would not be paid commissions for the period in between that your membership was "unpaid".
Best to ask Kyle or Carson for clarification about that point because I have no firsthand experience with that aspect. ~Jude
You're right Jude!
I was simply parroting what other Ambassadors have stated in the past ... so I too do not have first-hand experience either.
Very good advice to suggest asking Kyle or Carson.

What if wa membership is not active and then get a referral?

They get credit for the referral when they come back, but not while they are not a premium member.
But any referrals generated while away are not done in vain and you will resume commissions (recurring) on these as they come back to WA in the future.
Thanks for your answer Kyle!
So, if someone who is currently not a premium member gain referrals in that time, gets credits only for the new payments of their referrals AFTER his (the affiliate's) membership renewal.
Right?
