Redefining success
Something happened today when I looked at my GSC trend comparing the current 6 month period with the previous 6 month period. I have to redefine what success looks like to me.
My website is progressing at a rate much slower than I had hoped. Some of this is due to the highly competitive niche I chose to start with. Some of this is due to stopping and starting because I get frustrated that I am not having as much success as others.
My 6 month trend shows some pretty solid improvement as far as Impressions and Clicks go and this kind of caught me by surprise. I have been working hard, but have also thought about quitting many times. I actually have called it quits a couple of times, and then just can't seem to let go. My website is 13 months old.
This might not look like much, but seeing this gives me some hope and also gives me some much needed motivation to keep on writing.
I have made a few sales here and there, but at least I can now see that I am trending in the right direction.

Trending in the right direction is indeed the most important thing. Sure, our sights will make us crazy sometimes - often in fact. So you take a little time off to recharge your batteries and attack again. You check the most popular keywords on your site and see how you can expand those. You try to guess what questions you can answer to help your readers. You look for the latest, greatest products from a variety of merchants (not just Amazon), and you keep going. Hang in there and you will reach your goals.
Well Steven I am know following and it seems to me you are doing a lot better then some.
Stick with it and use some of your positive energy when you are positive energy thing feels better and goes a lot better. add words to your post that are positive,

"This gives me hope to carry on and motivation to keep writing!" see how positive that is turn your thought into a motor that will being you that success you want.
Negative thoughts bring you negative results.
Positive thoughts being you positive results.
