Post shows up on Main Menu header and also Posts Box. I want to have all Posts show up in Posts Box section only. Can't figure out procedure in Posts edit section. Need help.</
I want them to show in the designated Posts Box on my home page, but not also what looks like a Page on my top header bar.
Posts automatically show up on the blog roll, which is the homepage area of your site. It will be ordered from the recent at the top.
Pages show up under the Main Menu bar, which you create. Depending on the theme of your site that you chose, it will most likely appear at the top. Users have to click on it to see what content is in the pages you create.
Hope this helps.

How do I control placement of posts?
Post shows up on Main Menu header and also Posts Box. I want to have all Posts show up in Posts Box section only. Can't figure out procedure in Posts edit section. Need help.</
My post shows up where my designated posts are supposed to show, but also up at the top of my header where my "no comment" pages are located. I want the posts to show up in their designated area only!
sounds like it is something to do with the way your menus are set up. have you had a look in the menus section to see if you can unravel it in there perhaps?
I am thinking I am going to have to copy post and paste it offsite and then delete it. Then bring it back in as a new post . My latest post worked fine. Just wondering if there is a better way. First post may have gotten jumbled as I was building my website.
Have you checked your menus? There will be something simple instructing your site to put your posts in the menu. It might be a tick box on the right side of your post so check down the side bar in the edit mode and see if there is anything there that you can tweak.

How do I fix the double search bars on my home page. Using RYANS Theme for my website template, the upper search bar is showing Home Page with down arrow that has 3 sub titles:
The Search bars are usually part of a widget. Go to Appearance - Widget and see if you are able to find two separate "Search Widgets" in there defined in a two different sections. You can click on them and click on remove to remove them.
Hope that helps.

I added completed disclosure template page to my website but forgot to change generic header . Tried to edit that page but generic header reappeared on Content Site. I deleted
hm, so you have two identical pages on your website and you need to delete one there and edit one - you can edit within wordpress at this point
as for sitecontent - you seem to be saying that you lost your template for your disclosure page, you may need that for future sites, let's see if Kyle has a hack for getting back original templates accidentally deleted :)
ps I'm rumaging around site content and are you sure the enclosed disclosure template is really deleted - log out and back in, but I think these come with the system
I solved that problem by going to edit page which had Trash this Page in red. pages That forced me onto a new page where I could delete both unwanted pages which moved them off of the website page. I then reused Disclosure template to re-write a clean updated Disclosure which is now in my Content Site folder as a published page.
However, after doing a Published Page edit on my About Me (from the WA Template) said edited Page shows up on my website, but does not show up with other published pages on my Content Site. I have gone to Published Page edit several times and given it a Parent site with order and such with no results. Can you advise a solution or ask someone? Thanks.
so you deleted your disclosures and made a new one - and your template is still there
not sure what you mean about published page edit on about me from wa template - any 'edit' after it is published must be direct to your website, not within sitecontent, edit the templates in sitecontent before publishing only
you say a page shows up but not with the others - did you create a menu and align your pages there [use search bar to find a training on menus, there are many]
if 'about me' is now on your site then that is the page you are dealing with now, not published page edit or parent page...
I like to be organized with copies of published pages in my Content Site for future reference. I now have to go to View Website to see my ABOUT ME page. Frustrating while building a website.
once we publish to our website from sitecontent then those pages no longer exist there
I understand about having copies, I sort of think that way myself, but it is not possible unless you are doing a lot of copying forward and backwards?
once you publish all you have to do is click on edit in wordpress now from the menu that appears and you are straight on your site without even logging in - it is superfast - so I'm not quite sure which way you are doing things - have you watched Kyle's walkthrough video?

Ok, will try that next time I am in my posting section. Thanks.
