when I originally joined WA, couple of years ago, i think that I could go to WP, not through rubix, and create a site or blog. is my recollection wrong or thinks
Things have changed bigtime. Everything is now organised through SiteRubix. If you have no sites there, I would talk with support or the owners. Unless you got a WP account and can find your site there still, it will all be here through WA.

Thanks, I'm getting old and sometimes I wonder if the mind is at fault.
I will look into this process and see if makes sense for me.
I'm paying WA monthly and I just looked at WP and their price is $25,00/month.
I really want to create a very controversial site and I don't want anyone playing censorship on the discussions that I intend to have.
i think you will find that here will allow more freedom than wp - you will need to read the terms carefully both here and on wp.
From what i can gather you may not be able to monetise wp easily or they have a lot more control of what you can do, whereas here youcan do almost anything.
What are you thinking of?

I think you still needed to go thrugh siterubix at the start - or through the website and hosting button down the left hand side - but you still needed to activate wordpress through the builder.
You can still log on from outside wa with your password and user name once it is set up.
Hope you find your way
Phil

I have just created a site when I tried to log in by pressing the blue button I get a "403 Forbidden " message. Any idea why?
Thanks
Sometimes it takes a little while for the login to work. Try again and you should be able to get in this time. Also, don't put a tick in the Remember Me box.
Thank you for the reply. I went back to Namesilo and they show that to have the change for the server effected may take from 1 to 48 hours.
This could be due to many reasons such as not having access to the page/site you are trying to access, empty directory on your server,....
Click on the link here and follow instructions and see if that helps. Access denied 403 forbidden Also, make sure you are connected to internet...
Thanks for the reply. I think it must have been take not enough time had passed for the changes to take effect.
This morning I tried and worked fine

Yesterday I saw on the news that Justice Ruth Ginsburg made a comment on Trump. I would like to know the opinion of the members on this.
I'm not promoting or selling anythin
In my opinion discussing the behavior of a supreme court justice is not politics. I see it as a historical analysis of events that are unfolding are have just unfolded. These judges are appointed for life. They are not in any kind of race to get elected
On the other hand, this subject has nothing to do with website building either.
I prefer not to bring this matter here but the relevance of the subject can't be overlooked.
I will learn, here, how to build either a blog or a site to discuss these matters. I have a lot of interest about some paradoxes, in my opinion, that exists in the American Life but it seems taboo to discuss them.
I certainly think that this topic is not a money maker at all, but I like to know what people are thinking and what kind of solutions are proposed when a problem is perceived.
The perspective would be more towards philosophical and logical reasoning. For the one that may like this, when I have the time, which is rare, I like to read articles at a site Criticalthinking.org
and I quote what I copy from their site:
" Critical thinking is essential if we are to get to the root of our problems and develop reasonable solutions. After all, the quality of everything we do is determined by the quality of our thinking."
I think that this process is essential to our improvement, as WA demonstrate and proposes is a more defined way.
Your blogs at WA should be about your online journey. Other topics should be saved for Facebook or your website. Spam is a NO NO!
To ask for opinions on current events is that ok?

If ones has products or services that one may want to promote or sell. Are there restrictions on this type of activity at WA. If so where do I find the specific rules so I make
Thanks for the info let me try to look into the specifics so that there are no misunderstandings..
In the training they briefly mentioned not to promote here like in a spammy way. I don't see the harm in sharing? But you might get flagged if it's obsessive. Depends how you share it!
You cannot promote your products or services to other WA members.
Here is a breakdown of the open education project. It also discusses Spam rules. Spam is a NO NO!

Are there topics and subjects that are not permitted to be brought up in blogs at WA?
examples Politics, sexual orientation gun control, religion, civil rights to name a fe
Thanks for the replies, I will look into it further to make sure I don't break the rules..
Your blogs at WA are supposed to be about your online journey not the stuff you post on Facebook or your website. Here's a link to the rules Spam is a NO NO!
I think there are rules about staying away from politics and religion.
Most of all, use common sense and be sensitive and considerate towards others.
