First, I wanted to share how quickly I have moved up in rank. I had just glanced at it on Tuesday and my rank was 1k. Today I have already moved up to 376! I haven't really been trying so it did come as a surprise to me.

All I have been doing is more interacting with others and I try to answer questions when I can. Usually the questions have already been answered by the time I get to them.

I am planning on creating some training pretty soon so I guess that will help me move on up as well. I guess since I haven't been trying, imagine what I can do when I do try! It would be pretty awesome to become an Ambassador!

Meditation

When I first heard about meditation, years ago, I always got a picture of sitting in the floor with my legs folded across and my hands resting on the sides of my knees with my thumbs and middle fingers touching and "ohmming".

I know better than that now and I'm glad because it really does work. I used to be a short tempered, hot headed negative worry wart! If somebody made me mad, you just better watch out!

Now I am a happy, peaceful, let it roll off my shoulders solution oriented person. I still have my moments, but I don't let stuff get to me the way I used to.

It's not all due to meditation, but once I quit being stubborn and actually incorporated it into what else I was doing, it made a big difference.

In case there are others here that would like to start meditating, I thought I would explain how.

First you need to find a dark or low lit place where nobody will disturb you.

Next, you can either sit or lie down, whatever is comfortable to you.

Where you are meditating needs to be quiet where you can maybe find a sound like the air conditioner running or a faucet dripping. You can also find some meditating music or guided meditations on YouTube if you want.

You will close your eyes and focus on the soft sound or whatever you have chosen. You want to keep your focus on the sound and not be thinking about anything else. If your mind wonders, and it will, just bring it back to the sound.

It is suggested to do this first thing in the mornings, but I have to do mine later because I fall asleep if I do it in the morning. You don't get the same benefit if you fall asleep.

Only meditate for about 15-20 minutes a day, whether you are able to quiet your mind or not. It may take a few tries and you can't force it, that would be counter-productive.

You can get so good at it that no matter what is going on around you, you will be able to find a single focus instead of getting worked up or stressed out.

If anybody has any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Thank you for your time.
