Do You Have What It Takes To Be Successful, I Mean, Really?
I must warn you: today I'm in preaching mode so watch out! : )
In the last couple of days I have had the privilege of getting some expert feedback on my website. I asked them to be harsh and direct - and man they were!
I asked them to give me it straight because I want to continually improve and keep on getting better. But it's totally pointless to ask for help if I don't then take action on what's been said.
The point I want to make is this: don't waste your time or anybody else's if you're not willing to take action.
Do you realise how many people out there 'dream' about earning money online one day? This elusive 'one day' will never arrive for 95% of people. Why? Because they will never take action.
A goal without action is pure hallucination.
Sometimes we expect to get from 'here' to 'there' in one fell swoop - the reality is, rather than one giant leap, success is more like a series of small, cumulative and daily steps.
Direction, not intention, determines your destination.

WA has the 'HOW' but only you can answer the 'WHY' - What's your reason for wanting to be successful? What's your motivation for building a profitable business online?
Whatever your reason is, I encourage you, no, I urge you - take action.

Awesome post Simon and I love the quote at the end, the "doer" is always the one that succeeds in anything. It is good to dream and to have dreams, but the application of what you learn here and often times the "grunt" work is what will lead to creation and lead to a business being formed.
I also encourage everyone here to take action. I have never seen someone that takes consistent action, works with persistence and work hard fail.

NAIL ON THE HEAD!! This is so very true: "A goal without action is pure hallucination." Reminds me of something I saw the other day... says "Don't give up on your dreams! Keep sleeping!" HA! Funny but relevant! Thanks for a great post, Simon.
Nice motivational blog! I know that some people will hit a dead end and feel like they will never reach the destination they are trying to achieve. Sometimes you just have to get up, walk away and then revisit what you were working on to see it from a new perspective or an alternate way of finding the help you may need to get the task you are working on completed. This works for me anyways. When I was a Parts Manager I was confronted with problems, issues, incorrect parts or shipping delays on a regular basis. Take one thing at a time, manage it, assess it and correct it.Nice Job!
I totally agree, I think that's why a great community like this one is so vital because when you are stuck or frustrated it can be a real lifeline.
I'm naturally an idealist which means if I'm not careful I won't publish a post 'til it's absolutely perfect or I won't do something until it's the 'right time' and I'll never get anything done!
It took me a long time to realise that the right time is always now : )
That's interesting, I have been a bit that way in the past myself. Now all I see is moving forward no matter what the timing!
