What program is this for? Be careful that you understand what these terms really mean.

From everything that I've seen, the term "advertiser" is used to describe the person who's paying for his/her ads to be placed on various websites. (Person A pays $xxx to have an ad placed on yyy websites.)

The term "publisher" is used to describe the person who's getting paid for putting those ads out through placement (publishing) on his/her website. (Person B receives a portion of the money that person A paid when the ads are placed on his/her site.)

Hello BobBarr,

Thank you for the comment and suggestion on this, very appreciated. So Advertiser is more likely fall in this category.

If you have a product to sell and want other people to advertise it on their sites, yes.

If you want to make money through ad placements on your websites, you'd be a publisher.

This terminology is used by internet retail services.

Advertisers - are merchants/vendors who own and sell their products through internet retailer services such as Clickbank, JVZoo, and many others.

Publishers - are Affiliates who join internet retailer sites and promote merchant's products in return for a commission when the product is purchased through their affiliate links.

You cannot be an Advertiser for internet retail services unless you own the product or service.

You can be an Affiliate and promote products through internet retail services. ~Jude

Hello Jude,

Thank you for the clarification between being Advertiser or Publisher.

Sid

You're welcome. :-)

Unless you have publishable content already i.e. E books and courses it will serve better to be an advertiser at first. Once you gain footing and knowledge start creating content of your own to publish on affiliate sites like clickbank and CJ

Thanks Adufres,
I will check and focus more on the advertiser side, I also need help in getting my 1rst Website up and running as soon as possible to beat the traffic. Again thank for the answer to my question very appreciated.
