Quick Guide to Better SEO in 2019
Better SEO in 2019
I have been doing a bit of research and training the last couple of months to see if I can learn a few more things other what they teach here in WA
And to be honest with you there's not much else out there that you can find that's not taught here
There is one guy I follow religiously though, and that is Brian Dean, founder of backlinko.com
If you have never heard of him then I suggest you check him out
He is an SEO genius!
He recently wrote a post called ‘SEO in 2019 - The Definitive Guide’ which will help you get better SEO in 2019
And what an eye-opener it is
You should really take a look at it but I just wanted to go over a few pointers that he shares about making your website pages and posts SEO friendly and help you to take your sites to the next level
So here is just a few of them...
Bucket Brigade Phrases to Use to Keep People on Your Page
This is where you should be putting certain phrases into your content to keep people wanting to read more
And this is what he says to use...
- Here's the deal…
- But there's a catch…
- What's the real story?...
- How can you actually use this?...
- The best part…
- Why does this matter?...
- That's not all…
Just put them into your content where you think your readers might start to get a little bored
Benefit-driven Sub-headers
Brian says that you should add benefits to your product content to every sub-headers so that when they scan through they can see that you are trying to help them
Insert the benefits of what you are writing about into all subheadings
The APP Formula
The APP formula should be used in the first part of your post, your intro so to speak
APP = Agree - Promise - Preview
AGREE - Get people to know that you understand the problems they are facing
PROMISE - Give the people a glimpse of how you can make things better for them
PREVIEW - Tell people exactly what they are going to be getting within the post they are about to read
The CTR Magnet Method
CTR stands for click-through rate if you didn't know already so for a better CTR you should use this 3-step method...
- Step #1 - Find Adwords Ads the same as your content keyword
- Step #2 - Use Adwords ads keywords and phrases in your title and description that are used quite a lot in the ads
- Step #3 - Get more clicks as the ads you copy have been proven to get more clicks
The ads have been tried and tested to get more clicks so you know that they are going to be great to copy
Look for keywords that appear a lot in those ads and put them into both your title and your description but make sure it works with the content in your post
Power Words
Power words are what draw the attention to your readers if they see any of them in your title and will be more likely to click on yours rather than posts that didn't use them
Use one of these power words in your post title and description
Here are just a few...
- Today
- Right Now
- Fast
- Works Quickly
- Step-by-Step
- Easy
- Quick
- Simple
Using Your Keyword Correctly
Brian Dean says you should use your keyword in the following places
- Title tag
- URL
- 1 Image ALT text
- Description tag
- 1 H1 tag
In-depth Content
Write 2000+ words in every post to impress the google bots and hopefully get your post to rank higher
LSI Keywords
Use this LSI keyword tool to generate keywords strongly associated with your main keyword
LSI stands for ‘Latent Semantic Indexing’, In a nutshell, it is based on user search patterns and behaviour, how one keyword search is usually linked to another keyword search
Take a look at this awesome tool he shows
Apart from Jaaxy, it's pretty great to us
Or you can look at the related searches at the bottom of Google's pages
Final Thoughts
These are just a few quick tips on improving your SEO that I am sharing with you from the genius Brian Dean but I strongly suggest you check out the full post here https://backlinko.com/seo-this-year
And definitely subscribe to all his channels to get the best tutorials and training about this subject that you will find online
Just remember that this bit of information is not direct from myself, it's from the leading SEO expert Brian Dean from backlinko.com but I had to share it with you all in case somebody hasn't heard of him yet

I agree that Brian from Backlinko is an utter genius. I to follow him.
He has given me a great insight into learning how to structure my posts. He uses many images and screenshots in his posts, not sure about that, but it seems to work.

Oh what brian doesn't know about SEO isn't worth knowing, lol
I only put this up for people who don't know about him, did you see the post I mentioned?
Thanks for a great post that can actually be put to use and implementented. Thanks for taking the time to digest the information and then cut out all the fluff and leave us with nothing but the meat of writing a good post that will hold peoples attention all the way to the bottom. The simple fact is that no matter where you put your keyword, and no matter what postion a post rank in google, if people won't read and digest it - it didn't accomplish much.
No probs, I was a bit worried it was too vague so that's why I linked to the original post.
Brian Dean has been a game changer for my websites so I'm hoping it will help others who haven't heard of him :)
