"Action is the foundational key to all success"
These quotes resonated so deeply with me, I noticed one common denominator in both.
'Start' and 'Action'. Both words are verbs. There are doing words. The guidance I received from both quotes was, "Prema make sure you are doing something. Whatever it is do something."
I came across this inspirational article and found it beneficial. It gave me a deeper understanding of the types of action I can take in my business. In the article, 'The Type of Action that Leads to Success, the author outlined two types of action: -
- Massive action is taking the actions you take, and continue to take, until you reach your goal, no matter what.
- Passive action is all the things that are done in preparation for action.
Massive action includes the process of predicting obstacles and being willing to allow for all the discomfort and failure necessary to grow. The article said, “most people try one thing, fail, try something else, fail, and then give up. That is action but not massive action. The “no matter what” is the key element.”
Whilst listening to podcasts, researching different options, practicing, and asking for advice is considered passive action. It is the consumption that, alone, will not lead to the desired result.” The article posed a question,"how many times have you listened to a podcast but never took the time to implement what you learned? How many times have you downloaded a freebie but never took the time to actually open it up and use it?"
I got to admit, I am guilty of doing this. My personal inbox is filled with freebies waiting for me to open. Yes, I agree with the author when she said, "Passive action is easy. It asks nothing of us. It feels like you are making progress without the risk of falling short. Passive action might feel better in the moment, but it will never get you where you want to go."
The article brought to my attention the 'hiding in planning' action. Yes, I found my hiding in planning. I am an expert at writing down my to-do list and my short, medium- and long-term goals. Planning to avoid failing and avoiding failure is not the key to all success. “It is about asking more of self.”
I really had to be honest with myself and analyse my actions by answering the following questions:
Where in your business are you taking passive action or consuming instead of taking massive action? Why? I am working through the online certification modules. I am following the process and guidance from Kyle, Carson and the others who have done it before me.
In what way would taking massive action be more useful than taking passive action? Taking massive action would be more useful because I have a money goal to reach. I would like to make £5,000 after tax every month, working at a job I really love.
What is an example of massive action that you could take toward one of your current business goals? Taking advantage of the offer by signing up for the premium membership.
After reading the article there was no doubt in my mind and heart that signing up was the only way. So, I signed up for the Premium membership.
The next massive action is to build my website.

Starting with such a key concept will take you far in your journey here. It does take a lot of action. But the action is enjoyable because it does bring success.

Insightful article Shuprema. The beauty of WA to allow the ability to take action is that it is not deterred by the need to have access to major funding, or the need to know the right people or having major plant, equipment or other resources. Once you are not hobbled by fear or insecurities taking action in WA will propel you forward.
