Video
I have finally delved into the world of video! After many takes, I settled on one that's half decent, and uploaded it...
Stephen Spielberg will Not be envious. It's more like M. Knight Shalaman meets Micheal Bey, without the explosions... scary stuff.
In order to embrace this new challenge, I cranked on the music, turned on the recorder, and sang my heart out... this has been deleted from my computer. The Voice contestants have ABSOLUTELY nothing to fear! After watching that train wreck, the 'vlog' was easier.
I admire our Magistudios... how he became so comfortable in front of the camera is a mystery to me, but he's there every Friday Night here, and then his YouTube channel(s)... oh to be that comfortable!!
I'm hoping to be able to find a way to adjust my lighting, as in this video, I seem to look a little haggard, or maybe that's just how I look! (Note to self... find a MakeUp Artist Squirrel).
Someone told me 'just be you'... the first thing that goes through ones mind is... What if I'm not good enough?
Zen squirrel came by, and asked who decides what's good enough, or who's good enough? I had no answer.
Which brings me to this next round of thought...
Aside from everything WA has to offer for training, has anyone else found themselves rediscovering who they are, or want to be?
I have only known 1 Profession / Career in my life, and some days looking at change has been daunting... I never thought that change would be this scary, or this exciting!
Now I am in deep thought about Change, and being 'good enough'...
Have an AWESOME DAY!

Oh yeah. Large congrats on your first video. My first questions about mine were 1. Whose voice is that? 2. Do I really look like that? As soon as I get that cracked lens replaced I'll try again.
Zen Squirrel? I have been consulting Zen Chicken. That could explain a lot. I'm goin' squirrel huntin'. :-)
You decide that you are good enough because you are.
Well done for embracing change despite the scariness.
Congrats for stepping out of your comfort zone! I just made my first video myself, and when I viewed it, I realized that I talk like I'm reading a textbook, lol.
When my husband came in while I was watching it, he asked if I was watching a boring video (needless to say, the next half hour wasn't a lot of fun at our house!)
But he was right, and tomorrow I'm going to rerecord it. Maybe I'll try the singing first!
Janelle,
While I will not be competing in any singing competitions, it does help!

I suppose you've heard the one about.
How many Psychiatrists does it take to change a lightbulb ?
Just one but the lightbulb really has to want to change.
Change is good. Scary but good and you're good enough.
Thank You, T... I was having a random thought, wondering if anyone else has this type of 'head talk'...

It's been said that we are our own worst critics. We are harder on ourselves many times more than anyone else ever will be. Is it because we are more honest with ourselves or just expect ourselves to be perfect?
Zen squirrel is right...who really decides whether we are good enough...keep up the new direction and give yourself some credit. I will go through the same thoughts whenever I decide to do video as well.
It's great that you are venturing into this new "you" with your business. I wish you the best of success with this new adventures.

Hi Shaunna! You certainly are good enough! You went for it, just as Jay advised. Way to go! I'm finishing a couple of other things, then I'll be jumping into the YT realm too. :)
Continued success to you!

Change is inevitable, and of course you are good enough.
Thank You, Fran...
