Statistically Speaking
Statistics can be boring, and yet I found some that have gotten me all excited! (And yes, Stats can be manipulated, but I still find these VERY encouraging)!
Brand Marketing
81%... that's the statistic of how many brands are using Affiliate Marketing as a sales platform, giving credence to Affiliate Marketing, as this form of sales has increased well over 30% in the last few years.
Publishers
That would be the Affiliate Marketer.
The trend is that 94% of Publishers are using more than one Network for commission income.
Revenue
In 2016-2017, affiliate marketing Represented 20% of all online sales. Increasing by over 10% yearly.
Affiliate Marketing, or Affiliate sales, accounts for $12 billion of the retail market share.
Most Popular
Health and Wellness, Fashion, and Sports are the most common and popular target markets.
There are many untapped markets just waiting to grow! Those are the target markets, the untapped, or unappreciated Niches.
EX: Home Decorating is a popular Niche as well, but did you know that (and I mean this literally) no one thinks about the Kitchen Sink or Faucet? Sounds funny, but it’s an untapped market! (Ceiling Fan also fell into this category)...
Income
35% affiliate marketers are making $20,000 - $75,000 per year. Out of that 35%, half of them are in the most popular Niches…
Look for the untapped, unappreciated Niches… including the Kitchen Sink!! How do you fund these gems...
GOOGLE! LOL

Those are exciting stats..i can see the squirrel s pondering and scheming away .....black friday shopping is just around the corner ...hint.hint
Perhaps a new kitchen sink or faucet for christmas
My problem was never to find a niche -- it was more trying to decide which one I liked best. As it is, I have two domains for niches I haven't even used yet.

No pun intended ?
Seriously though, this is a really good 'heads up.' I had been thinking recently that 'when' we become proficient with our sites and know the ropes, so to speak, then we could literally turn our hand to nay niche that we felt was profitable.
Reading your post makes me ask the question "Why wait ?"

See... you caught the humor in the post!! (Untapped)...LOL
I'm glad you found the 'heads up' beneficial!!
