I get an error message saying my site is not available.
Why is it that sometimes when I attempt to login? .
I get an error message saying my site is not available.
Hi Julie,
I got that a few days ago and contacted site support. They could not tell me why this was happening but told me to clear my browser history and then it worked...

One more question for tonight. There is one more thing I want to do to a page then it will be almost perfect. I clicked hide the title in the editor because I could not change
Maybe you should share the name of your theme so that someone who uses it and knows well the specific functions of it can help you.
Hi Shortcakes, I would love to help but I have never experienced this issue before.
Here is a link from another member's question that may help: How do I get rid of web page title?
She was talking out like words on the theme template she did not want to see - I need to hide my title in a post (or change the color) suggestions?
Oh so sorry, for that - I will go search again and even look at my own wbesite theme to help you - so give me a sec..be back soon
okay now I see what button you are referring to, and it isn't showing in your theme? if not then this theme will not allow any changes - which I found to be very unfortunate when I went through the hundreds of theme changes I made. I will see if anyone else has an alternative solution.
Hi Shortcake,
I couldn't find anything in WA - but I googled and found that if your theme has no buttons then you can install a Plugin called "Title Hide" to deactivate unwanted theme headers or titles.
I hope that helps...

Do images affect speed. I noticed that there seems to be a built in optimizer for images in the WA platform - Is this enough?
Is it normal for the Index page to load fast
Themes play a big part in Site speed but so do images, plugins and so on. Optimize your images, remove plugins you don't need and see if it makes a difference. You can also try different themes to see how they play out.
One other thing to check is the SiteSpeed option under Websites > Site Manager > Details.
Yes,
the SiteSpeed option under Websites > Site Manager > Details is where I noticed the fluctuations.
I did not consider that the theme itself would be a factor. I have been meaning to explore new ones anyway - it is on my to do list
I have been constant with training and building content - not much sleep at all - for 2 weeks. And then when it gets busy in here I am distracted with other little things to do.
I need a few more hours in the day but my site is coming along nicely.
Thanks
Julie
I think Snazzy cover it. you could also consider using smaller pictures if yours are very large.
Sandy
The numbers you give are really good in my opinion - all mine are in 90s for desktop and about 50-60 in mobile speed.
I suggest removing any themes or plugins/ widgets you no longer use, these could also slow down websites.
I am not sure what else as for me it's quite normal for speed to fluctuate when we add more widgets or images
Embedded videos can also slow speed.
Thanks Snazzy,
As a newbie I was just not sure was normal. I do know that in the very beginning everything was 100 and when i started developing more and more content the numbers began to fluctuate.I do have one embedded video on the site (or it may be just a link) not sure if they function the same way. I noticed the platform has a built in image optimizer and all of my images are good. I believe I only have the two plugins that I started with and I use them. I have not added any more - I also read somewhere else that they tend to affect speed if they are not used. Thank you for the feedback and your expertise. Have a blessed day.

Does anyone have any insight or tips on speed?
