just bought .com domain and went premium and want to look through more than the free themes so I can choose one
To help you wade through the thousands of free themes, here's a video tutorial for you Choose a New Theme
Just watched it all and left comment below video. This was tremendous - esp the suggestion for test site and thanks for your reply!
If you go to your dashboard>appearance>themes>add new you can pick from any of the thousands of themes there are to choose from :)
Thanks that is where I went but it would only add a few each time I clicked add new, so thought -there must be a page where I can scroll through them. Just got a suggestion with link so will try that next, thanks.

Are these paragraph Headings?
How can I control where they Appear?
Tags are nothing more or less than the major keywords you are optimizing for.
They will appear, usually, on the bottom of your blog, if you are talking about your website. If you are talking about the WA blog, such as this one, they do not show up.
Tags are inserted at the end of your post...
in wordpress down the RHS you will see a box, to Add Tags
here you can insert the main keywords of your post
it helps your post to get ranked a little
Tags are usually shown at the end of your posts. You don't have to use them but you can use them to organize your posts in your menus as well.
This source gives definition Shirley! http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/categories-vs-tags-seo-best-practices-which-one-is-better/
I read this so thanks - I'm sure I will want to re-read a few more times when I learn enough to attach this information to!
Tags are just words that describe your post. I don't think you can control where they go. If someone is looking for information and type in a tag word it will bring up the posts that have that tag. That's how I understand it anyway. If I'm wrong someone will correct me.

just went premium this afternoon, pretty sure what domain I want and it is currently available. Should I buy it first then go to discussion in case it gets taken (it is a world
I'm glad to hear about your 4 unused domain names, Hailey. I thought it's just me. I have one unused. LOL.
Cheers!
Don
I suppose you are referring to the discussion right below the training about domain names, right? How to choose a proper domain name? And yes if you have found a domain name that is suitable for your niche and it is available, it can be a good idea to register/buy it straight away. It is indeed a free and open world market.
Steven
Thanks Steven for the Advice which I took and now own my 1st .com domain.
Also appreciate you including link here so I can join the discussion for a few moments to say I got my domain and look forward to building it. That gives me 2 tasks completed for this day.
I am extremely impressed and grateful for your prompt response and thorough answer.
I look forward to future communications as I follow you.
if you like it and it's there then get it at once, imo
the discussion is just for people who don't know what they want or need some guidance or have questions

Looked like theme on site but when I wanted to add content in 3 different categories - one per column it does not appear. I think I'm supposed to be able to put my content with
HELP!!
I am also using Tirpitz and I can't seem to do anything I want with it.
www.bestgiftsforbabies.com
The picture I selected for the background does not show. Only my posts show.
It seems that I don't have the option of putting a picture at the top of the page either...
The title of the posts do not show either!
I am sooo frustrated. I love the modern, sleek look of the theme but I cannot seem to be able to fix it as I want.
Please advise.
Just pick another theme. There are SO many, just go to your WP admin area, Appearance > Themes and search for more themes that will give you the design you want.
Each theme gives you what it will look like so that's what you should expect. The best way is just to find and check out other themes, they all have detailed descriptions on what they can do with the theme as well so make sure you take a look.
Hi Shirley, your theme and catergories don't work this way. You don't use a theme to list your three categories. Categories are used to organized your blog posts with. When you click on a category, it will show up on your main center column.
The three columns of your theme, the center column will be where your blog posts will be, the two side columns are for widgets, where you can list your categories, so people can select your categories there but your blog posts for your categories won't show on your side columns.
Categories can also be used in your Menu, so people can click on them to see those types of posts.
I hope this explanation helps you,
Grace
I have not used that theme so I am not sure if I can help. But if you could provide some screenshots under your question to illustrate your problem - I think it would make your problem more clear and it would be easier for other members to help you then.
Thanks for reply. I don't know how to do a screenshot and get it into the computer.
I chose the Tirpitz theme because it had columns as I want 3 different categories. I want to do a draft as instructed but since columns don't show in back office in Posts or Content pages I don't know how to proceed to get my information in their respective columns. Guess I will have to keep waiting to hear from little mama thru whom I found this site. Not sure how often she is onsite as a busy mom/wife so thought I'd just reach out.
This was the best thing you did - reach out and ask community's help. Whenever you get stuck, please do it. Don't wait that mom/wife answering you. She too might be a novice herself (although obviously I don't know).
If you use Windows 10, there is a preinstalled snipping tool (more information about how to find and use it, here: https://goo.gl/xtBKf3)
It's very useful tool (I always use it). Just drag and save as an image file. Then when you ask your questions, add that image file into your post and that's it.
As for you theme, it's still not clear to me what you want to achieve. Usually themes allow either 0, 1 or 2 sidebars (on the left and right side of the page). Do you mean these... or something else?
ok I will look into that link and see if I can use it.
No one I referred to is highly ranked premium member - just left message day ago and acknowledging she's probably busy.
Perhaps I am wrong that it comes with the 3 columns shown when I choose that theme (from beginners choices). I just assumed if I asked for help there was a way for you to look up the theme by name and see the columns shown and let me know if mine would be set up that way.
Would it help if I tell you my website name. Not sure if I am supposed to as this is posted publicly.
