Super Affiliate Challenge and My WA Journey so far.

Hey Folks,

I thought I would chime in about the Super Affiliate Challenge. I was one of the lucky ones to have been selected by Kyle for this pilot programme. We are now almost a couple of weeks into the challenge, and as I have a website already promoting WA, my focus in accordance with the affiliate challenge is to write a couple of posts, which I have done, ready to be published.

In the 4-5 years I have been a Premium Member of WA, I would say that one of the most important and vital things you MUST do to have any chance in succeeding in this business is to remain focused and just as importantly - get organised.

As I still work a 9to5, I neded to devote a few hours every week to my business. To do this properly I had to:-

- Create a diary, plan my week ahead (usually on a Sunday)

- Creating a plan makes me accountable to myself

- Avoid distractions. Record my favourite TV Shows.

- Get a dedicated place to work, i.e a seperate room, the utility room, kitchen bench etc.

- Make those who live with you aware of the times you work and that you must not be disturbed

- All of the above gives you disipline

I am lucky enough to have a vast knowledge in all things IT, as IT is also my day job. IT is my passion so it was very easy for me to get involved in the Internet Marketing business. I used my knowledeg of IT to my advantage, I created a seperate business called 'High Level IT Services'. I have done IT work for local client's, general IT Installations and also built some websites, this has given me alot of confidence and increased my website building skills.

I always document and record what I do. I have subscribed to Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium. What this package gives me is not only the entire office sutie, but also the Planner App (great for planning your tasks), and also Sharepoint. I develop in Sharepoint in my day job anyway, and I use Sharepoint to create a database to record the posts I write, a 'Check List' if you like.

This check list documents the entire website building process, and also the posts I write, targeted keywords, record the QSR etc. if I have 'Fetched in Google' and Bing, Meta descriptions etc etc. I can then run reports for specific websites, and see what I have done for each site, the posts I have published, keywords , everything.

It is all starting to click into place now, and it takes hard work and dedication. I love this business, WA has tought me many skills, and I could not be where I am now without the help of this create community here in WA.

Tim.

Gosling works well. I hope it does for you Tim!

Glad to have an IT-er right around the corner:))

I'm happy to follow along with you in your SA journey here. I wish I had some sort of IT skills. I can see how it helps a lot. I am like Karen in the organized department...a "wing it" kind of person but with a good work ethic. I am getting better at structuring my days though and your post helps to reinforce why we should be doing so.

Thanks for the update and glad things are starting to click in place for you!

You sound very organized and I admire that. I guess you have to be with a 9-5 job and WA also. I need to get a bit more organized I suppose but that will come.

Tried and true

Elaine

I wish I had a tiny fraction of your IT skills! As Karen says, you sound extremely organised too, so you should become a Super Super Affiliate :-)

Wishing you great success
Isabella

You sound very organised and that is something I need to work on. I have been a bit of a wing it kind of person but have a huge work ethic. I just don't have a structured weekly plan. Glad to be sharing the Super Affiliate journey with you.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

I am a bit like you, Karen. But it's got something to do with children and grandchildren and priorities.

I now realize that when I was working full-time, I didn't spend as much time with my children as I might have done, didn't always have time or patience to listen to them etc. etc. I now do my best to 'drop everything' if my (now grown-up) children or my grandchildren suggest we do something together or need help of any kind.

With lots of good wishes,
Isabella
