Hello everyone. So, I have hit my 4 month mark being here at Wealthy Affiliate. I have yet to see the fruits to my labors yet. I know it can take time. However, I just recieved

I wouldn't panic too much about getting kicked off Amazon, I am sure almost everyone here has been booted off by them at one point or another. I got mine a couple of months ago and although I know that it is just a matter of applying again, i have to be honest i have found far better programs to join since and am not sure that i will bother.
I would suggest that the best thing to do for now is build your content and your audience, worry about Amazon later when you get plenty of traffic.

I pretty much agree with all of the advice here. Wait until you have more traffic, then reapply. In the meantime, you can focus on other affiliate programs. There are so many options! https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/affiliate-programs

I have been kicked out before, and I just re-applied. There are definitely better affiliate programs out there, with higher commission rates and much longer cookies. Depending on your niche, you can check out Shareasale, Commission Junction, etc. There are a lot of programs out there.

Don't worry about it for now. Just continue doing what the training says consistently and eventually you will make a sale. If not, you can always reapply after.

For me, I personally made my first sale on my ninth month (last month) and I have yet to see the second and third. So I've already been kicked out once. But I reapplied and got back in instantly. Just don't keep reapplying if you get kicked out the second time though. Make sure your site is working and stuff.

As for when most people get their first sale, I'm seeing between 3-6 months most commonly. It depends on a lot of things such as how many reviews targeting low-hanging fruit keywords you have, your niche, and how many high-quality posts you have in general. Just follow the training and you should be okay. Consistency is the key.

Again, if you get kicked out, you can reapply but there are programs that are arguably better. It all depends on your niche. Many programs offer higher commissions than Amazon and also have various perks. For example, Wealthy Affiliate. About 50% commission and also potentially being able to go to Las Vegas or get a car. Amazon does not have that.

I hope that helps! You still have three months to make three sales. Just maintain your consistency and keep writing those low-hanging fruit keyword posts!

Thank you! It's good to know I can reapply and that it does take some time to make a sale. I will focus on producing more keyword rich content for now

Yep, get ranking and good luck!

There are SO many programs. Find your favorite brand and scroll down to the bottom of the website and look for the word affiliate. You can apply directly. Of course, they want to see an active blog that would align with their brand.

There are also many affiliate networks. WA just added a section called affiliate programs and you can start there.

If you are blogging, it can take quite a while to gain traction. I had my first Amazon sale as soon as I installed it but that's because I already had some decent traffic.

Traffic first, then income. I suggest that people don't apply for affiliate programs too early because they will look for you to have some production.

I remember when the Keto syrup brand I was promoting threatened to eliminate me for not enough sales and I had thought I was doing good selling a bit out of the gate.

Purposeful time on task :)

Thanks! I think my goal will be to focus on producing keyword rich content and if I get kicked out - I will wait until I have better traffic and more followers before I reapply. I will also check out individual product affiliate programs :)

Yep, get those pages ranking and then you get to play!

Ok WA! Calling @Kyle and @Carson + any community members that have web design experience and/or experience with incorporating page speed insight recommendations. I went to coll

I'm not an expert here, but by looking at what's taking the longest to load, it looks like maybe a theme issue. Try a different theme and see how it goes.

You can also try Autoptimize plugin. That can optimize your themes code. (just use standard settings to minify javascript and css)

I also see the images you're using are very large. Try resizing them to shave off maybe 2-300 pixels: (You can also do this before uploading them).

Let me know how those go.

I just downloaded WP Optimize plug-in last night - is that sufficient or should I use the autoptimize instead or in conjunction?

Thank you for the word press image editor article! I will work on my images and after those two, if still no luck - will try a different theme (just sucks because I like it lol). I've also deactivated and deleted plug-ins I wasn't using.

Thx again! Will return to update on my progress after work

So after deactivating and deleting plug-ins I wasn't using and converting most of my pngs to jpgs (there were a few that actually were larger in size when I converted) and then going through each picture individually and re-sizing to a reasonable size I went from a score of 27 to a score of 85! lol It's still giving me some things to improve on but I think at this point I am satisfied with my website speed. Also - I discovered the error with the loading of the logo in the manifest. I right clicked on my website and viewed the page source until I found the exact link it gave me and opened the manifest. I realized it was from the PWA plug-in and the logo I had selected was no longer in my media library to pull from (I guess I deleted it). I'm still trying to figure out the warning of the pre-load link error. Will post my findings with that once I figure it out :).

wp rocket.
it will take care of caching, SEO friendly lazy load, render blocking javascript and css.

Oh it will also do wonders for the error of - Use efficient cache policy on static assets.

Honestly I like it a lot better than sitespeed but don't get me wrong wa's sitespeed feature is a whole heck of a lot better than most other speed optimization tools out there.

But for WP Rocket is where its at.

Oh but if you find a working code for the "font-display CSS Feature" than please let me know because every little bit helps.

Being speed is one of the more important ranking factors now (and only becoming more prominent in the future) all those little milliseconds that most folks ignore could very well end up being what puts you over them in the SERP's.

Thanks! Ill check it out!

When you say your site is loading slow, how slow is slow? More than 5 seconds? The reason I ask is because some Page Speed recommendations will literally shave milliseconds off your loading times that are hardly noticeable. I've seen people go nuts taking weeks to fix all these "errors" and there's no noticeable change except in the grade. Unless it's taking 5+ seconds to load, I wouldn't worry about it. And if it is, usually a plugin that's not playing nice with others is to blame...

First Contentful Paint
5.0 s
Speed Index
19.0 s
Time to Interactive
8.0 s
First Meaningful Paint
6.2 s
First CPU Idle
7.0 s
Estimated Input Latency
80 ms

My overall score is 27! lol Which of the above values is load time? The first contentful paint? And if that is pretty slow, Is there a way to determine if a plug-in is the culprit?? Or just...deactivate things and see what happens? :/

What I meant was when you type in your url, how long does it take for your page to come up? What's your url?

Oh gotcha. Sometimes it takes anywhere from 1 to 8 seconds it seems. https://inpursuitofgoodhealth.com/

Yeah, it did take some time to load. My first step would be to go one by one and deactivate and activate your different plugins. Most of the time it's a plugin issue. So go to your plugins, deactivate your first one. Then go and see if loading time improves at all. If not, activate it back and then deactivate the next one and so on.

Ok will do! Will comment the results once I'm done (might do this tomorrow because my brain is fried trying to figure this crap out all day lol. Should've just reached out to begin with) Thanks for the help!

Sometimes the basic steps are the easiest ones to take. Plugins and too many large images can be huge culprits to slow page speeds. Past that, I'm not good for help, lol. Good luck!

Hello - I am attempting to update the EWWW image optimizer plug-in and keep getting this error message:

An error occurred while updating EWWW Image Optimizer: Could not

Both of these options are great! Let us know if it gets resolved.

It was resolved quickly by site support. The plug-in creator said it was a problem within the platform I was using (i.e. - word press). WA site support responded quickly and was able to update the plug-in on their end. Issue resolved :)

I'd reach out to Site Support. It's probably a directory permission issue that they can fix quickly.

Hi,

I would both contact the plugin owner:

https://ewww.io/contact-us/

And SiteSupport:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Keep us posted ;)

Sounds good! Ty!

THANK YOU!! Oh my gosh - I wish I had known it was that simple from the get-go. I don't remember that being in the training thus far. If it isn't, it really should be one of the first things to do in the training once you publish your website.

You're welcome!

Hi - is it your actual website which is not secure? Does it have https at the start of its URL? If not, you need to switch on the SSL Certificate through Site Manager.

Thank you :). Here is the quick guide for anyone looking for the same answer and wants to bypass all the other info about it.

Enabling SSL on your website is simple.

1. Browse to your SiteManager dashboard
2. Click on the SitePlus+ link or Details button for the site you want to enable SSL on
3. Toggle the switch from OFF to ON, or if you want to turn it OFF, then in the other direction
