Hi Shelly, hope all is well. I've never tried myself but I just did a quick Google search for [can i embed videos on my blog from amazon] and a few YouTube videos and blogs popped up. Maybe one of those will be helpful.

Yes you can do that.

Do you know if embedding videos on our blog from amazon would compromise their terms and conditions as member of amazon affiliate?

If your using it to promote their product it should be allowed.

Hi Shelly, I certainly don't want to discourage you but from my experience I wouldn't work on 2 sites at one time. I've tried and to be honest, it's hard enough to keep up with one.

There's keyword research, content creation, social strategies and outreach...

Having said that, SEO is often a waiting game. It's good to age a domain and let it mature and if you find that you're interested in something else you can start another site and put 80 to 90 percent of your time into it while you just do maintenance and basic "keep the lights on" stuff to your other site like adding a post or two every month just so Google knows you haven't abandoned it.

But dividing your time and efforts 50/50 between two sites in most cases is inefficient.

Succeeding online is all about being able to go where most people won't go. I don't have exact statistics but at least 90% or more of new sites will be abandoned within 6 months to a year, and Google knows that. It's the blogs that persist beyond that point that succeed. And, it's the bloggers who keep going when everyone else has quit who succeed and a big part of SEO is just lasting long enough to show Google that you're serious.

Just some food for thought :-)

Shelly, I see someone already told you about "spamming" your website. There's a legit way to do it on your own profile, so go edit your profile and go to the "Where to find me" and add your website.

After that, you can just tell people to look up your profile to find your websites.

Personally, I would stay with the website that is starting to gain success.

Have you considered perhaps starting some kid's pressure cooking projects?

With today's pressure cookers, they aren't nearly as dangerous as the ones my mom cooked with and once you have some kid activities on your cooking site, you can sort of expand that niche.

Just an idea, but kids LOVE to help in the kitchen...until they're about 12 years old, then the real chore becomes getting them in there.

Best of luck!

Ph wow I didn’t know I can add my website to my profile. Thank you for pointing that out. Im aware of spamming but just didnt know how to show my site without linking, until now from your response.

Pressure cooking with kids is a great idea! I’ll certainly consider blogging about that. I guess I’ll make recipes that kids would like too.

But I’m so interested in reviewing beneficial children toys and games, that I want to jump in and do it for fun of it. But I only have 20hrs/week of spare time for my website so don’t think I can manage both yet until my first website generate decent income that I can do it full time.

Thank you thank you thank you so much for your input! It really helps and I love WA for that!

I don't recall how long you have to be a premium member before that feature is available to you. If it's not there now, keep watching for it. If you scroll to the bottom of many user's profiles on the right you will see that feature. I think it's only 30 days, but i have a hard time remembering stuff that no longer applies to me.

You read my mind. I was looking around my profile and other people’s profiles (and yours) to find links or find how to put mine. So far I found your links on my profile but still can’t find how to put mine in profile. As you said, maybe because I only had premium for about 1 month, I don’t have that option yet

Shelly dear just a gentle reminder to remove your link as it is not allowed. However, because you are focused and obviously keen go ahead and do another website...however, some members say it can get overwhelming when it comes to writing content. Only you would know what is best.

Always a good idea to diversify but it's really a question of how much you can handle.

So in the end it's your decision. If you think you have the time, then I say go for it.

I broken link checker plugin and recently it is telling me I have over 12 links that are broken on two pages. But when I went to check the page myself, all the links there seem

Try visiting those links using an incognito browser tab. Those links aren't working for me, so you may be accessing them from your browser cache.

I'm also checking on mobile which shouldn't make a difference but there's always a quirks we can't figure out.

Sorry, for some reason the link got cut off short. But don't click on the other two links as they are just examples of the broken links

I checked the page on firefox and all the links work so I'm not sure what is going on.

So, it seems all of your deliberate links are working, at least from what I could find using my phone here.

I wouldn't worry to much about Google and broken links. It's quite common for older sites to reference other sites that no longer exist. Also, I've had hundreds of broken links (I had to fix) that didn't affect the rankings.

What's most important is that the links want people to follow are working.

One thing you'll find, and may be your issue here, are links in your comments. Not just in the comment section but when people leave a comment there is a field where they can enter their website url. A lot of times people will put affiliate links or other junk URLs in that field.

Thanks Jay. Glad to know at least these broken links won't affect google rankings much. I figured some of these broken links are from people who comment with their web links. I'll just dismiss these links for now until I figure out what is causing them to be broken links.

You can always go through and hover over each person's name in the comments to see if those links turn up.

Also, they could have something to do with your ads which would be dynamic links that you don't have direct control over.

Hi Shelly, like others here... it's definitely a good idea to space them out over time. I've noticed in the past though that the date of the comment would show up as the date it was written, not the date I approved it, so it's a good idea to check, and you may have to go in and edit the dates on each comment to space them out over time.

Looks like everyone is on the same page here, I would spread it out over a few days for sure.

Maybe answer like 3-5 a day, make sure they are quality comments, you have the right to disapprove any that are not up to your standards for quality.

Hope this is helpful.
Stacie

Spread out is best :)

As far as I am aware if you open and respond to each individually and the response to each is unique it makes no difference. Do not however, just approve them all together without opening and replying the bots will not like that.

It's just an opinion, Shelly, but I'd spread them out.

Googlebot MAY see a lot of comments at once as being purchased (which in a sense they are, of course).

30 comments is pretty impressive. How many did you request?

I agree! Spread out your comment in which l normally do and l can see my post climbing up in Google.

But as Ahimbe suggested, you can answer as soon as possible if you don't have much comments to reply.

Thank you for your response phil. I requested about 12

I would also, as others suggest, spread them out when it is this many.

How many comments should I respond a day or does it not matter?

I do not think there is a specific number that is the best. I would just spread it put over at least a couple of weeks and not respond to the exact same number of comments per day. Some days maybe even none. This also looks more natural for visitors.

But from my knowledge there is no exact number that is best. Just think I it is all about being natural and what gives the best experience and impression for your visitors.

It is better you answer one by one since they all needed different answers/feedback.
It is recommended you respond to comments received as soon as you can.

Hi Shelly, just following up on your question here. Looks like Eric was able to help out, I just wanted to make sure you were able to resolve it :-) Hope everything is going good.

Jay

Hello Jay. Yes I think I understand. Thank you!

Hey Shelly :) Not every comment you provide after meeting the requirements to be certified will deliver you a $.50 cash credit. It simply unlocks that ability to earn cash credits. You'll notice when submitting your comment that to the left of the green button it will now neither say "earn 1 credit" or "earn $.50" instead of only saying "earn 1 credit" like it did before you were certified.

Thank you Eric. I think I understand

So now I see that some comments would give me $0.50 cash credit and others is 1 credit. Is this given by random?

It pretty much works out to one out of every 2.
