Need some direction

I joined two years ago and loved the step by step training. I created a website about photography, wrote my street articles, and had an affiliate with Amazon. Sounds great, except street articles went away. I really liked them as I could see how many people were reading. Then Amazon said I didn't have any sales, so they dropped me. I know there are other affiliate programs, but if I'm not getting readership then it won't do any good to work with them.

I didn't do much last year due to medical issues and my vocal cords were damaged, so I had to leave my job. I do have some part time work in photography, but need more income. I saw a post by boomergp08 about how to pay for your WA membership through referrals. This came at a great time. My dues are due in September and I am trying to find the money for them. I thought I'd pop a few referral links out there and hope for the best. Then I found I needed to have my referral letters. Took me several days to do that because I am such a perfectionist. I've read to just do it and improve upon it later, but I just can't.

I made a list of people and businesses that I thought could benefit from having a website. Then I got to thinking too much again. What does a non-profit animal rescue and a restaurant need blogs and affiliate links for? They aren't selling a product. So now I am stuck because I'm not sure what to tell them when they ask Why do they need a website and WA membership? I guess I could concentrate on how they can increase their web traffic. Guess I should go back to the basics and see what training is available, learn about it, so I can talk intelligently and tell them why WA is so great.

So I'm bogged down and getting frustrated. I don't want to lose all the hard work I've done with my other sites or to lose what I have learned.

Anyone have any advice?

First of all Shelley, Internet marketing is going to give you a return very quickly. This is because your commissions can take five or six weeks to pay out. This tardiness is mainly due to a 30 day refund policy and then they are usually paid out on a specific day each month. If you want to go down the affiliate route in conjunction with other methods to pay next month's fees then Jay has an excellent training here. During the storm at sea a pessimist things he's going to drown, an optimist knows that he can ride It out, the realist adjust the sails.

That is what I would suggest you do now. Look at the skills that you have and how can you profit from those skills in the short term
in the next month. I would suggest that you do not think about paying annually in September but find a way to earn $50 just to pay next month's fees and at the same time implement Jay's training.

This is a strategy anyone can use if you need some immediate money

Thanks, I'll check into those links. I did see the 6 week one last night, and put it on my list to look at today.

You're welcome Shelley

Hi Shelley!

I would say it helps to go through the affiliate bootcamp. Kyle shows you how to set up a website for getting ranked in the money earning arena on google. I am also just on my way to getting referrals, but I know I will succeed. Learn your way up ;o)

I guess looking for people wanting to earn money from an online business is your target audience. You also could get in touch with your audience over social media... I am also only learning!

Cheers, Kay

Hi Kay. I had started bootcamp and created a website, not yet published, but the basics are in. Didn't get past lesson 4. Must have been when my medical issues started. I guess I thought I could put out a few referral links and make some quick $ to keep in the game. As they say, there's no way to get an easy buck! Guess that was a part of the bootcamp. Guess I'll get back to that and do it the right way! Thanks.

There is building a business and trying to make a big buck. You are going to learn how to create a real, long term business here and getting out of the "quick riches" mode is going to take you a long ways in the business world.

Success does not happen overnight, but it will absolutely happen for EVERY single person that is willing to work for it and persistent within their journey.

Head through the training, take action, work hard and ask for help along the way. You are going to make some amazing progress!

Thanks Kyle for taking the time to reply. I don't have a prpblem with hard work and I don't give up easily, but can get frustrated when I get stuck or don't have control. I understand what to offer a business selling a product and how WA can help them, but what are some ways that WA can benefit an animal rescue group or a small town eatery other than giving them a free web site? They don't need to be on the first page if they are the only one. It just seems as if I am missing ways to help that others have discovered, but I'm not finding the answer. If it is in the training, then I'll keep learning, but a suggestion of how to help these.groups would help me sleep at night. I really appreciate the help.

One way is to go through sites of other WA members (though some hide them) and see how they described WA. You will get some idea.

Good idea.

Forget about this specific target group. Focus and concentrate on audience you can deliver and who very likely ARE interested in your offer. Not everything is for everybody... Thats just normal!

Kay
