I have been looking for a way to make money online for a long time - probably about four years.

Initially, it was with the goal of being able to leave my full-time job - a job that I had come to hate for many reasons, not the least of which was a horrible boss and a stressful environment that I was sure was slowly killing me.

But it was a job that paid me very well and provided benefits, and as single mother supporting a child with a disability, I felt I had no choice but to stick with it.

Every day, as I made the hour-long soul-sucking commute to a workplace that was fraught with stress and problems, I thought about how I was wasting my life doing something that was making me so stressed and unhappy. I wanted out so badly.

Then something unexpected happened. Something so traumatic that I was forced to make the decision to leave my job. Despite how traumatic an experience it was, I viewed it as a blessing in disguise. It forced me to make a decision I had not, until that point, been able to find the strength to make.

Suddenly, as a single parent supporting a child with a disability, I knew I had to do something. I had lost a substantial income and, at age 53, I knew it would be difficult to find a job with comparable pay and benefits. And I simply wasn't willing to make the long commutes anymore.

I was both excited and scared at the opportunity to find an online business that would allow me to work remotely.

But what started off as sheer enthusiasm and excitement slowly turned to confusion and discouragement as I became overwhelmed by information overload. I'm sure many of you can relate.

But...I am hopeful. I am an optimist. I am a hard worker.

Surely these things will help me achieve my goals.

I just need the right opportunity. The right support system.

And I'm hopeful that I've found it here.
