Ollo! Shelly here and maybe you can tell from my pics, that I love to laugh. Add to that hugs and I'm having a great day.

Joy in life is very important to me. So, to me that means, my God, my hubby, my dogs, nature and eventually, a lil' bambino of our own. Which is why my goal is to work from home. I've waited a LONG time for a lil' one, I want to be there every step of the way.

I have worked mostly in the medical field and most notably I guess, as a massage therapist. I'm an American from WA state (love the initials here @ Wealthy Affiliate), but live in Canada with my Canuk hubby. Well, he's an Oilers fan. :-D

I love classic over contemporary, old fashioned over techy (odd, I know, beings I'm looking to bust into the online world, hey?). I have many interests-photography, making short films, dogs, gardening, writing, home decorating, container gardening, 1910s-1950s old movies, home renovating, Pintrest (my version of collecting/hoarding things), steampunk, hobby farm, massage therapy (the most rewarding yet hardest profession I have ever been a part of), essential oils, did I mention home decorating? I could/would love to learn more on any one of these.

Above all, I believe excellent customer service is a must. Smiles and sincerity go a long way.

Blessings and Hugs,
Shelly

P. S. I crack up at my stalker dog picture, just thinking about it. I'm easily amused, says my hubby. I responded with that's why I married him. BAH!!

P. S. S. I've gone thru all of level 1 and am impressed with the training and beings I have experience adding content to a website not of my own, I have no doubt I could start a website at this point. However, further training (and a Premium membership) is a must for further instruction (adding links for example) and I'm not entirely convinced I want to spend so much time on line, managing websites. I have many other passions that take up some time. So, until I decide one way or another, my contributions may be minimal. BEST wishes to all who are plugging ahead!

Man, does everyone really want to quit their job that badly? haha, just kidding. Definitely love to hear about your goals, they seem very realistic. I know for a fact that if you can put forth the tedious effort here at WA, that you can see some superb results here at WA. Best Regards -Floridalma

Superb goals Shelly! You have a large network and community here at WA that you can leverage for help and support along the way, myself included.

It all starts with a goal...then is followed by action...then is followed by results. This is going to be how it pans out for you and I can't wait to hear about all of your successes in the days, weeks, and months ahead! :)

Thanks so much Carson. I am feeling a bit frustrated on a niches. Not finding one, I have several options. The top one that is screaming at me is proof reading...(reading blogs/posts/profiles/etc, I notice spelling and punctuation errors like big pink elephants in corners). However, I'm not able to find APs on that. Nor am I able to find APs on a very personal topic-post abortive and abuse healing. So, those may need to be things I offer as a service, but not as a marketing for others.

So, moving down my list! Wondering on the "process". How much time should I be spending researching APs for niches (finding several APs) before settling on my niche (as you can see, I want to make sure there's many APs available)? I want to make sure there's enough content for my website and I'm wondering how ridiculous is too ridiculous for time spent on it. :-)

Blessings.

P.S. My work week is over and I'm on a 4 day weekend. In Canada, Monday is "Family Day", a national holiday. How cool is that?! Canada is awesome that way.

P.S.S. I'm getting a Mac by the end of next week! (insert happy dance)

If you can help people, you can create a successful business doing so. This goes for absolutely any niche Shelly.

Over the years I have personally been involved in many niches and the same principles held true. If you help someone, you build trust and once you have trust, you can generate revenue through your promotions. Not until then.

That is what you are going to learn all about here at WA and the proper strategies to create a business online. I look forward to working with you and if you need a hand with anything moving forward, simply drop me a reply here and I will give you a hand.

PS. I hope you have a super productive week ahead...and I love your stalker dog picture lol!

Thanks Kyle. I do have a question. I'm used to building personal/community relations in person. I work for a non-profit food security organization. I've met my yearly goal within the 8 months that I've been here, and have been given a raise and more hours as a result.

So, I'm not sure how to do that online. People and their money are hard parted, unless they see value in what you offer. If I believe in something, you better believe I promote it. But, how do you build trust PRIOR to a purchase and not sound like an empty sales pitch?

Thanks!

The key is to help them through the content you create. If you can do this, you create trust.

Think of the last time you were helped without expectation of reciprocation. It lead to trust right?

The same thing happens within your website. Help folks and once you have their trust, they will be much more likely to take your advice and listen to any recommendations that you have.

Take this approach within any niche and you will be very successful Shelly. Help BEFORE Promote.

PS. I hope you are having an awesome week so far!

Thank you Kyle for a great reminder. I agree, helping without expectation of reciprocation absolutely creates a level of trust. I can recall times working in a hospital (massage therapist and registration) when that certainly held true. I've also found that a humble transparency helps as well. This is what I will draw on with my niches.

Yeah, it is definitely the case online and if you keep this your focus as you build out your business, you are going to be very successful. Nobody likes a salesperson but everyone likes being helped. :)
