Hey Shawn,
Google searching "free wp membership plugins" (without the quotation marks, of course) there were several suggestions offered. See screen print below...
This would be your best bet in finding exactly what you are looking for.
Hope you find this helpful.

Looking for free membership plugin options?
I am looking for a free membership plugin for a Wordpress blog that will require a paid membership for using the comment feature on the blog. Does anyone have any experience wi
Hi Shawn,
I use "WP Private content" plus in combination with "Admin custom login".
I do that to restrict certain pages and content that is available only to members. But I don't charge money for this service.
I hope this helps you a bit. And have in mind that some membership plugins might not work with the WA hosting setup here. You better get in contact with the support team to guide you further if you have trouble setting it up.
Thanks! What I am looking for is a simple and sweet way to charge for comment privileges, and to be able to track the billing. I know PayPal does offer a service for monthly tracking for 19.95 a month and that would work I guess. Was hoping for a plugin that would do it all on a yearly subscription basis.

I get a padlock on all pages on my site but not on any of the posts, even though the posts say all secure when I run their URLs through the "Why No Padlock" website tool.
This is far beyond my scope of comprehension. Is this something I need to know? How important is it to the growth of my website/posts/pages?
It will help in ranking but it is not anything that needs to be done right away. There are training videos on it in Jay's live video classes section you can watch when you are ready that will walk you through the process
Using the website analysis tools in Chrome I found that your header does this call:
Request URL:http:// lh6.ggpht. com/lZtB1sKxWkxrZ1-kDJmQrngFUspnRVaqhPK3P_r4kbzF1yhQ0OWTyAkNkJeo1NihU_SUvRhCmy0i1ELulQ8=s10
Request Method:GET
Status Code:404 Not Found
Remote Address:172.217.22.161:80
(Spaces after // and before com added by me to prevent posting a link)
I am not sure what this is, what it does, if it is the cause of it all, and why it passed the test at whynopadlock. But it is a http call without the s, and maybe the combination with the 404 error is the reason?
I could follow the load of the page and it was safe and padlocked until the top header with the 'Click me' button loaded.
But this does not explain why only there two pages are unsafe.
Interesting. It's not two pages, the pages are coming up secure, it's ALL of the posts on the site that are coming up with no padlock.
My bad - I meant two posts :)
But that does not explain anything still. I see that the call-to-action header is generated from the QuickieBar plugin. Try to deactivate it and see what happens.
Have you used the SSL Insecure Content Fixer plugin?
https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/ssl-insecure-content-fixer/
It worked a treat for my websites.
Hi Shawn, try the fixes I found SSL: Activation, No Padlock, Mixed Content and Google Search Console
Hey Shawn,
Might it be the browser you're using?
I checked my site and the green padlock shows on both pages and posts on my site. However, I am using Firefox v50.1.0 on Windows7 (which an OS might also be the issue ... might)
Are there ads that are not SSL?
Look at images and remove anything before /wp-content/ if they are site images.
No ads on any of the posts, and I get an all secure from the padlock tool. Is that not supposed to mean all is good?
I have, the posts say not secured on the browser but all secure on the why no padlock website tool Will look into this deeper today
Sure thing!
The following are two that do not show secure on the chrome, IE or incognito mode of chrome, but do show secure on the why no padlock website tool

Let me know how they show for you :)

Does anyone know how to edit the author box on the authorbox lite plug in?
I have just been trying to find a plug in I can use to put my "perty" little face and a blurb about me on my side bar. Is authorbox the one or is that one that puts the author info at the end of posts?

Hi everyone!
My question is about private messages,
I want to know if when I send a response to a private message and after it confirms that it was a successful send
Yes. Send will still be received even if you delete the thread. Just did some last week...please don't ask why!
I think everyone has their own account so whatever you delete should not effect anyone else, I presume :O))
Yes thats a good question , will wait for the answer In the meantime Shawn send me a PM AND LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS ?.......Johan.
I sent you a PM, please respond, then I will respond back again and delete the response from my inbox and lets see if you still get it.
Just responded back and then deleted it, now I am waiting for your response, and I answered your questions. :)

Hi everyone,
I have a question on all of the notices I keep getting on my water site, which I have decided to redo and start promoting again.
It gets sales as it is,
What a great niche, Shawn. I had at one time thought about ionized water filters for a niche.
They go to the admin login page. You need to have a way to see who is attempting to log in to the admin.
When they cannot, they register. They are usually spammers.
I use IP Blacklist Cloud. The creator also makes Cleantalk which cuts down on spam.
I wish I knew why many of the same people keep registering. You need to copy their email address and go Google, search for "spam xxxx@theirdomain.com" and see what comes up. If either Cleantalk or StopForumSpam comes up with the email address on it, you need to block that IP (and sometimes there are many IP addresses they have been using), plus block their username and email address in the IP Blacklist Cloud.
If you have multiple sites, you can get the Cloud service installed for $50 and not have to keep copying them from one site to another.
I have been hit by DOS with over 22,000 hits in one day. Got my site shut down. There were a slew of well know sites and even us little guys that were hit with this in February. Aweber has been attacked multiple times.
I understand, and I too have some that are clearly spam, but many are just members signing up for a user account, and I am wondering how they are doing it.
Have you found the problem yet? I looked for a way but could not find anything but a subscription to your newsletter...did sign up for that in case something does show up.
I think if someone registers, it just means that next time they come to your site, their information is stored in the comment boxes, unless you have assigned them different roles. I always turn this off and/or turn the notifications off. It's not people signing up for notifications as far as I know.
I see your point, but how they are sining up is my question, I find no place for them to do it.
I think just by adding a username/website/email address, that counts as a "signup". Or perhaps it's when they click "get notified for future comments".
I receive these with brand new websites, so something makes me think it's automatic. The only way to "sign up" would be via comment box as far as I know.
This is just a guess, but it's what I've always thought is going on.
Probably it is the theme you use as it could offer people the option to sign up. In the meta part.
If you mean people signing up to your wordpress website this can be disabled by unchecking the "anyone can register" box found on the general settings page of the wordpress menu.
I think you nailed it, but how are they getting access to register is my question. When I go to the site I can not find a spot anywhere when not signed in to register.
I registered on your site via the front page login, if you've turned the option off they shouldn't be able to go that route anymore. I will have a quick check.
Also you can delete user "easy" that was me just testing your website :)
