Free Keyword Rank Checkers
Hi, everyone!
Today I want to talk a bit about the free keyword rank checking tools available on the web for an article I am writing.
I spent half my day looking for a good one that was accurate and I was almost ready to give up.
I tried at lead 15 tools and they were all bogus. None of the gave accurate ranking info.
I finally found an accurate one so this will be the tool I reccomend using.

Thanks, Shawn. Love the keyword rank checker, looks better than the one I'm using now. The article was very interesting and learned a few things about Google Analytics and Webmaster.

So the best thing I can do is log into G+ -Gmail - YouTube - open my Google translator - do the alphabet soup - open another search window -whilst working on my website all at once, and share on all media, put my own Youtubes on my website.
And Google will know I AM ALIVE!
This article mentioned something that I've pointed out 100 times; GWT shows you what phrases you are being found for and the average position. I know it can vary based on where your searcher lives, past behavior etc. but that would skew the results of any tool I would think.
It hadn't occurred to me to really analyse which pages are more popular to brainstorm new keyword ideas. That's something I'll have to take a look at.
What is YOUR take on keyword ranking tools compared with GWT?
Ahh Okay. I know I still have a lot to learn. I'm just afraid of getting bogged down in things I can't control and waste valuable time that could be better spent doing something productive.
I know that it is productive to measure your progress. The problem is, which tools do you trust, which one's are bogus, you know what I mean?
I do, and I only recommend tools that work. :)
In the beginning just worry about writing good content and you will be fine.

In reference to the article, be sure to read the comments as well. The important takeaway here is that there is no end-all tool in an SEO expert's repertoire. There is no perfect over-all tool. i have used almost everything out there, paid and unpaid. Depending on how deep you want to get into the search engine algorithms and how they really function, there are so many variables that determine where keywords or webpages rank and in what search engine.
But, the bottom line for 2015 is what WA teaches...create unique engaging content - concentrate on this. Build a site worth linking to and content that real people want to reference and traffic will come. Just my 2 cts.

Tried it out and I didn't rank. Then read the article. Seems like there is a lot of pros and cons, some like the tools others saying it doesn't matter. I read someone's post today about GA being a waste of time. I'm confused.
As are most of us on a daily basis, lol.
