Canadians Melt at 82 F

Most Canadians melt at 82F, and we have been hitting around the 90F mark for a week! (30+C).

My mother lost her phone (that's a whole other thing). Anyway, I realized I hadn't heard from her in a few days, and tried to call her, and then I remembered the da..ng (darn near did that sailor mouth again) phone incident!

Needless to say, she's been staying with us, as her place is the resemblance of Hades and a Sauna combination. Her home was 102F at one point!

I was expecting some resistance to 'making' her leave her home for a few days... nope! She was packed and ready to go in minutes! She was worried about becoming a puddle on the floor!

How does this apply to WA and my journey thus far? Well, let me tell you how productive one can be at 1:30 in the AM! It's incredible what I am getting done! I can't record video, as the rest of the house is sleeping peacefully, but I will get to it. (Much cooler at that time of 'day,' more comfortable for me to be productive).

We did get her AC running and will be trying to hustle her home Sunday or Monday, but I'm concerned that she has become quite comfortable. She now has a 'staff of 2' and is enjoying that part of her stay. (Pray for me)!

Short, I know, but the Squirrels and I are going to sit in a pool of ice for a while, questioning why people live in Florida! LOL

Have an AWESOME weekend!

Hi Shaunna,
It is around 115F in Arizona. Small price to pay to be out of the ice and snow I had to endure when I was gowing up in Minnesota.

.I do sympathise with you as many in Arizona don't like the extreme heat. I don't mind it as long as the AC is working. (Haha)

Stay cool.

Bill

Staying cool in the AC!!

S,
Well now, apart from a couple of days in May (??) I believe we had our summer last week, or was it a couple of weeks ago, not sure.
I would like the opportunity to try out some of these extreme temperatures, if only to make sure I am completely happy with

'middle of the road, not one or the other, no tan, no snow just wet, windy and miserable weather for twelve months of the year climate'
T

T,
Sending you Virtual Summer 🌞

I'll take it, thank you.🙏

Yes, it is a summer with really hot temperatures. The sun is nice but when we have to endure it instead of enjoying it, it becomes a bit annoying.

Ingrid

Hi Shaunna. Those temperatures are normal for us in Queensland Australia, we rarely experience under 30 c for six months of the year.
I hope it cools down for you soon.
All the best. Jim

Jim... Ausies are a tad crazy though!! LOL
It's just the humidity more than anything, but in truth I'll take it over -30C!!

Know how you feel Shaunna it was 34 Celcius here Friday, very sticky and uncomfortable.
My stepmum had her mother to stay when she hurt her ankle, she never went home. Mind you, she was in here 80's and lived until she was 96.
Good luck.

It's the humidity that gets me every time! Dry I can handle (Arizona).

Oh my... 16 years!!

Luckily my stepmum is one of life's carers and did it willingly.
