Shawgin's Odyssey: Day 3
As expected we harbored our ship just before midday yesterday and were immediately ushered to our awaiting stall. I have to say it was not what I imagined. Indeed, it was more a proper store front than an old abandoned stall.
A few daylight hours remained to inspect it and decide how best to present our wares before dusk. This time afforded me a few workable ideas. I believe that we have at last found a profitable venture, although much work is yet to be done before that point arrives.
Alas, the day ended worse than it began. The crew's discontentment over previous voyages erupted into fights among the men last night. Punitive actions were taken with the ringleaders, although in my heart I could not suffer the full weight of the irons upon them. I understand their grievances as in many ways I feel the same. Nonetheless, order must be maintained else we see this great venture rot from the inside.
To alleviate the tensions I have decided that shore leave is in order. The store front isn't going anywhere for a day or two and the crew is in dire need of a respite. I myself plan to spend some time immersing myself in the culture of our new friends and learning their ways. I'm sure there are a great many things they can teach me that will aid in our endeavor.

A word of caution... give the crew their leave, but remind them that beer, whiskey, and women may have adverse effects upon Monday's Sailing...
