The Power of Masterminds

I first came across the principle of a Mastermind Group in Napoleon Hill's book 'Think and Grow Rich'. It's basically a group of 2 or more people who come together to share knowledge and help each other work through problems. The benefit is that each participant is getting a fresh pair of eyes on their business obstacles and the group can collectively work on a solution. Mastermind groups can also be useful to help the participants plan out business strategy and be held accountable for any actions that form part of this strategy.

Recently I noticed that there are now a lot of business masterminds that have been set up by experts who charge a fee to be a part of the group. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this, but it's important to remember that it is totally possible to set up your own mastermind with a few quality people.

In fact, I was thinking about the concept of 'masterminding' this morning (hence why I started to pen this blog) and realised that I don't have a structured mastermind for affiliate marketing. Whilst Wealthy Affiliate fills much of the gap in terms of training, knowledge and community, I'd love to have a group of other affiliate marketers to specifically plan out our strategy for the months ahead and set some concrete goals around actions and commitments.

Masterminds have worked wonders for my offline business and helped me navigate plenty of roadblocks to move my business forward. I'd love to hear your experience with mastermind groups... especially if you know of any that have been successfully set up for groups of affiliate marketers.
