I recently found out about google console and I checked on my site. But it says none of psges are indexed and they are all excluded because of "noindex" directive. How do I fix
Have you checke All in One SEO to make sure the noindex defaults aren't ticked. See my screenshot.
And have you checked the individual article SEO for this. Generally I only tick these for my Privacy Page. You can individually do this for other articles but Google probably won't index them. A screenshot of this is also below.
That is why I'm confused none of the noindex boxes are ticked on my posts. Plus Google console says they are not indexed but I get emails from wa when my posts are indexed with google
Your problem might not be what I am talking about. So here is a screenshot with my steps. Maybe that will help.
Thanks for your help! I actually got it fixed now. I installed health check, fixed the issues that it found, and then submitted a sitemap to google.

I have the same boxes ticked as in your first screen but no boxes ticked on individual posts

I have post that have pictures. I went back to some and added an affiliate link and when I check it out on my site, after updating, the pictures look stretched out and a little
Hey Shaina,
You must have added a lot more than just an affiliate link to your images. Bets you also added width and height measurements that you didn't realize was there.
Providing a screen print of the actual code itself would held determine if my guess is correct or not... providing you cannot spot it.
Hope this helps you.
It's the paragraph in the middle. I thought that all I had to do was add the link to a picture I already had up
That is the strangest affiliate link I have ever seen. It doesn't even take you to that toy. The link simply takes you to target's home page.
They do have an email address that you can use to contact them.
affiliates@target.com
If I were you, I would email them and use the three screen prints you've shared above, explaining what you have here. I'm sure they can guide you to fixing this.
I've searched for their information and there isn't any to be found... which again is rather odd.
Would really appreciate your letting me know how they respond back to you in fixing this.
Well the same thing has happened to me with an amazon link. I have got to be doing something wrong
I had to contact site support since I could not find a solution anywhere. It turns out it was a probably the theme was causing. I had to change themes
Oooh wow! Can't say I have even experienced that behaviour in any WordPress theme before. Good to know. Thanks for keeping me posted.

I want to be able to add my own pictures to my posts but I am afraid that my visitors will be able to download them. This concerns me because my niche is about parenting twins
Shaina,
You have asked a great question.
While there are certain tricks you can do with code to block right-clicking a picture to get a copy they are not very practical.
It can also be beaten by someone that knows what they are doing.
Here is a video that explains the code injection you could use; https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205815908
There is also a Wordpress plugin called WP Content Copy Protection that will do it for you but I try to keep plugins to a minimum.
There are techniques for adding a Watermark to your images but that won't stop someone either.
If you reduce the image sizes so they are under 1MB that may also discourage someone that does not have an image editor.
Honestly, when it comes to security of this nature it really has to do with your level of risk tolerance.
If you are very concerned I would not use their pictures if they are recognizable.
I hope this helps and if you would like the code for your .htaccess file to block Hot Linking your pictures from the server without your knowledge I can give that to you as well.
I apologize in advance for not having any great solutions for you but this is a tricky area online.
Gary
The suggestion for Canva is great you can do tons with it.
It still won't stop someone from grabbing a copy of an image though.
The internet is designed to share data in many types.
So if you put it out there, it is out there for all.
My best,
Gary
