Green Collaboration Anyone?

I know we are here to build our own businesses, but sometimes collaboration beyond moral support and feedback is powerful. I have such an opportunity currently in the Green products and services markets. My isolation niche website https://failsafeisolation.com/... offers an opportunity for Green Product collaboration.

My hope is to direct my subscribers that are interested in Green or Sustainable solutions toward other sites where authoritative green solutions are discussed, reviewed and supported. My hope is that my company would have affiliate relationships with such partners and site linking could go both ways. I'm open to ways that could make this a win-win for all collaborators.

Many of the isolation-related products I describe, review and link to are very green, especially the B2B products I manufacture. However, the isolation niche that is supported and nurtured in my WA website is not particularly oriented toward green or sustainability interests. I would benefit from collaboration with one or two strong Green / Sustainability authority sites that appeal to consumer, scientific and/or business customers.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions about how I might find partners for this green collaboration to deal with personal, family, professional and business affiliate marketing.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi I am interested! i have 2 sites and 1 can get traffic and the other I just started up. If you're interested I can send you the link it is about sustainable products.

Sounds perfect, Dawna! Please send me that link. Here's a link to my latest blog that relates to sustainability-
https://failsafeisolation.com/surviving-the-toxic-soup

Sounds interesting. I'm sure there are some who would benefit from some form of collaboration like this.

Thanks Debby. I hope you are right...

Green collaboration sound s new to me.

OK H. What I mean is cross promotion or other types of collaboration between me and my sites and someone with a site selling environmentally friendly, or "Green" products or services. These could be home appliances that use less electricity or water-free toilets. They could even be solar electric or wind based power systems.
Not sure how new it is to WA, but it is new to me.
Thanks for bringing it up.

I am new to this, but I would be interested in collaborating. The site that I have is about becoming self-sufficient, homesteading, and survival.

Just so you know, it's a new site only been up for a few weeks, so not much traffic yet.

Thanks, Frank. My Isolation site is pretty young too, Frank. We should talk about ways we can join forces, as there is definitely stuff in common. Please have a look at my response to Michael, and PM me.

I'd like to see more detail on this prospective offer. Products and services in the green industry!

Thanks Michael, glad to fill in some blanks.

My company has sold our efficient, lean, green glove box products since 2002, and we have customers on 5 continents doing all manner of R/D, medical, pharma, craft and other processing in them. We've sold over 400 of them to impressive corporate and government customers as well as small businesses and a few individuals. We've come to WA to find a way to increase sales and make a profit.

A typical retail sale is between $1200 and $2500USD and we could do a 15 or 20% referral commission on each retail sale. Commissions on wholesale referrals would be at a lower percentage, but those orders can be $25KUSD or more, so commission potential is high. Retail is more frequent historically.

Most of our customers are so focused on the experiments they perform or the healthcare services they offer that they pay little attention to the massive carbon footprint advantage of the Safe-T-Dome (http://www.banthrax.com/product/bx-sd01-lu0p) and Posi-Dome(http://www.banthrax.com/product/bx-pdi5-du0b) units over the fume hood, biological safety cabinet or heavy glove box units they know. For this reason, we rarely bring up our environmental advantages, even though they are really important to a few important decision makers and influencers.

In some cases, an environmental manager, sustainability director or other influencer or decision maker does care, and may have a budget or influence over the organization. I encountered a lot of those situations in a recent trip to the UK, and began thinking about the serious difference this equipment could make compared to hoods and BSCs that use hundreds of times more energy, while doing a much less effective job of isolation.

Since our tech is smaller, less expensive to buy, easier to install and easier and less expensive to operate, closing the deal is not a tough task if we can get on the radar screen. In the UK I spoke to people involved in labs, Science Parks, Environmental Protection agencies and Universities who are considering using our technology in labs that require dozens of hoods.

As I develop my Isolation authority site (https://failsafeisolation.com/barrier) to appeal to my traditional customers as well as others interested in forms of isolation from privacy and security to emergency shelter and remote living, I'm presented with lots of Green opportunities. Some of my prospects will be engaged in isolated lifestyles as rural dwellers, boat dwellers or doomsday prep folks. These all have sustainability and green aspects - remember the old "Whole Earth Catalog?"

I think my Isolation authority site has enough work to do to deal with lab isolation, security, privacy, etc. without being authoritative in the sustainability and green product world. I'm happy to redirect traffic to others to fulfill those needs and build trust in that world.

I could also do guest blog posts on topics of interest to technical environment fans, and to the general public.

Does this add enough meat?

Steve

Saving this. What is the process to affiliate?

Since I'm rolling my own, I'm not sure. I'd say step one is to PM me about your interest in affiliation, and the site you would work from. I think a 60 day close window would make sense, since most business closes within a few weeks. If we had a clearly tracked lead that closed further out, even as long as a year, it still should earn a commission, but maybe discounted if over 60 days.

Since I'm new at having affiliates, I'm open to suggestions. I do have distributors, however, so this isn't heavy lifting.

I'm going to table this for awhile Stephen but it is on my radar!

Please chew on it a bit Michael, and let me know if you have questions or suggestions.

Meanwhile, can you suggest a way to identify likely green B2B sites that might be affiliate prospects?

Would you send me a reminder PM in about 4 weeks. I'll save this but may not recall!

I just search for b2b green sites and when the business URL comes up appending it with /affiliate

Will do. Putting a tickler in my calendar now...

Your niche is not applicable to me but hopefully one of the members will be able to help you

Thanks Pablo. I agree. If they can, it should be a great win-win, as I'm willing to offer generous affiliate commissions for green help in selling my scientific and medical products.

Please PM me regarding your products

Glad to oblige, Pablo. Have a look at the message I posted to Michael below, and PM me with any questions. Otherwise, I'll PM you within a few days.

GOOD POST THANKS FOR SHARING
